McCloskey’s Gun Didn’t Work So A Prosecutor Ordered It Reassembled And Then Declared

I'd say they are in contempt of their state constitution. They should be immediately removed.

No shots were fired. There were no injuries. No crime was committed.

Brandishing is a crime in most states.

Most intelligent gun owners know that you don't pull a gun unless you intend to use it and if you use it, shoot to kill. Patricia clearly brandished her pistol by aiming it at the crowd. The way she was holding it, it's a good thing it was misassembled because she could be facing murder charges.

Fuck off. Don't reply to me again.

Armed Blacks brandishing weapons Stone Mountain

Have they been charged?

Carrying a rifle is not brandishing. From the pictures I've seen, Mark wasn't brandishing his AR-15 but Patricia certainly was brandishing her .380.

Lastly, States Rights. It amazes me how many Neo-Nazi/Alt-Right/Incels hate States Rights. Stone Mountain is in Georgia. St. Louis is in Missouri. Apples and Oranges.

A .380 with no firing pin.

McCloskey’s Gun Didn’t Work So A Prosecutor Ordered It Reassembled And Then Declared It Lethal

The gun Patricia McCloskey waved at protesters was inoperable when it arrived at the St. Louis police crime lab, but a member of Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner’s staff ordered crime lab experts to disassemble and reassemble it and wrote that it was “readily capable of lethal use” in charging documents filed Monday, 5 On Your Side has learned.

In Missouri, police and prosecutors must prove that a weapon is “readily” capable of lethal use when it is used in the type of crime with which the McCloskeys have been charged.

Assistant Circuit Attorney Chris Hinckley ordered crime lab staff members to field strip the handgun and found it had been assembled incorrectly. Specifically, the firing pin spring was put in front of the firing pin, which was backward, and made the gun incapable of firing, according to documents obtained by 5 On Your Side.

It should be grounds for dismissing the charges BEFORE it ever gets to trial! And bring the DA, assistant Circuit Atty, and the head of the lab up on tampering with evidence charges NOW.

your point that brandishing a non working gun is stupid is correct

LOL. How is it tampering with evidence if everyone knows what they did?

If they did it before the public knew about it and with the intention of concealing the fact that it had originally been inoperable before they ordered the police crime lab to alter it, that is obviously tampering with evidence and whoever ordered it done should be held accountable.

So the intent to scare of intruders is the problem? Just trying to be clear. I can understand brandishing a gun to commit a crime being illegal, but to use a weapon to defend oneself with an inoperable weapon as a ruse is an entirely different scenario.
What's your thoughts on my point about the scenarios being opposite situations?
It depends upon the state. Brandishing is illegal in most states, including Missouri and Texas.

Responsible gun owners follow this maxim: Never pull a gun unless you intend to use it and if you use it, shoot to kill. She didn't.

There was no reason to disassemble it in the first place. It was never fired, and even if it were, they only needed to find the rate of twist (which ALL handguns produced in that model are the same and noted in the instruction manual) and powder residue from both the projectile and bore of the firearm.
