Compared to the 61 cases you laughed about not so long ago.
living in your head rent free ( ugly mind that it is)
and as usual you get everything wrong
You’re dodging.
You said FL was a ‘disaster’ so it’s only natural to ask ‘compared to what?’ Compared to NY in April, FL is a picnic.
The take home lesson from FL is you can make it the downside of the curve without sacrificing the state’s economy—and, without inflicting the undo misery and jobs loss that comes with it.
Maybe DeSantis should write a book on it.

You are comparing apples and oranges. The comparison is not valid. Yes, New York was a disaster too. Because lots of people died. Disaster is not a partisan term.
When you make it to the downside of the curve after 10,000 are dead, that is a disaster. Period. End of story.
Was Katrina a disaster? Yes. There is no need to compare it to some other disaster.
Also, NY happened 5 months ago...so for FL to be going through this now, 5 months after NY, speaks to the failure of Conservative leadership, and Conservatism in general.
There are many reasons that these to states are not equal. It deserves it's own thread. I"ll get to that. The bottom line is that a defense of 10,000 dead by pointing at New York is an avoidance tactic. There should have been a mask mandate in place, bars should not have re-opened, etc. because the state did not follow the guidelines outlined by health experts, and after the virus began to spread, the state continued to refuse to follow those guidelines. People are dying as a result. I consider that gross negligence by the governor. Saying 'but but New York' doesn't excuse that.
Read the stats.
Testing Data for State from previous day

Deaths have steadily decreased since 8/6.
That's ONE DAY, you lying sack of shit.
Deaths have been on a slight decline. But let's look at Florida deaths in perspective. Florida had 118 deaths yesterday. There were a total of 329 IN ALL OF EUROPE, including the Russia. Yeah, we're happy that deaths MAY be declining. But they are way, way to high.
Give it 3 weeks and that death count will be right back up to ~200/day. Florida schools have acted as a COVID delivery system. The worst in the state is yet to come.

Huh?
NY—with a smaller population, made it to the down hill side with three times the deaths as FL.
So if FL is a disaster NY was an Uber disaster or whatever. You were being hyperbolic, just admit it.
idiotLOL, smaller population, huh? Do you just roll out of bed and decide what bullshit you are going to make up today? JUST the greater NYC metro area has a higher population than the ENTIRE STATE of Florida, and obviously that population is far more densely packed than is Florida. Just one of many significant differences. You're the one that's being hyerbolic, along with your lying and making up phony facts.
Florida opened up contrary to public health guidelines. They continued to ignore those guidelines and the result is that 10,000 Floridians are dead with more dying every single day. New York? Yesterday they had 629 new cases and 3 deaths. And Florida is still in the throes of a serious outbreak. Defending Florida's response by saying 'but but New York' is just like Trump talking about how great he did in Puerto Rico because more people died in Katrina. Apples and oranges. You still cannot mount any defense of the abysmal response of DeSantis. Same with Kemp in Georgia, where they have an even worse problem now.
Cuomo "knew" he requested extra beds and then didn't use them -instead he sent positive cases back into nursing homesBut that's just one of many differences, the primary difference being that the outbreak began spreading in New York City before people realized it was there.
he's a partisan brain dead posterHuh?

Florida is worse because they could have learned from NY if they hadn't elected a moron as governor. Texas' governor wouldn't allow local leaders to mandate masks and distancing. What is wrong with these idiots? You are comparing apples and oranges. The comparison is not valid. Yes, New York was a disaster too. Because lots of people died. Disaster is not a partisan term.
