Man Shot by Police in Kenosha Was Wanted for Sexual Assault "Fleeing felon rule"

Fleeing felon rule

At common law, the fleeing felon rule permits the use of force, including deadly force, against an individual who is suspected of a felony and is in clear flight.[1]

What part of the law do u not get?

Good thing you're not the one betting your life on that view of the situation.

Not a view .. FACTS

FACT ,,He had a warrant for rape

FACT... He fled when cops tried to stop him

Guess u wanted him to flee in car running over one of the cops ...and holding the kids hostage and maybe killing them and himself

The felon chose to escalate the situation ..not the cops

Where do get a violent felon?????????????????

He had a warrant out on third degree sexual assault but doesn't look like a violent crime. More like fucking someone passed out.

Court records show Blake has a pending criminal case that started last month. Online court records indicate Kenosha County prosecutors charged Blake on July 6 with third-degree sexual assault, trespassing and disorderly conduct in connection with domestic abuse. An arrest warrant was issued for Blake the following day.

The records contain no further details and do not list an attorney for Blake.

Does that justify the police being judge, jury, and executioner??????????????????

I did address the actual video by The Young Turks. I gave quite a few details. You have anything in rebuttal or just gratuitous ad hominem?

But But But But But But But But But But But But But But But these White Men didn't Comply with Police Orders ...

How do you explain why they're still alive, if everything you guys have said before in this Thread is true?

So, according to you, once again a black American doesn't get due process, just a fair lynching, amirite?

The State will investigate and, if necessary, the officer will be charged. I fail to see how either of the other two officers can be held for doing anything wrong.

The video is damning. If Blake was going for a gun or a knife, why hasn't it come out by now? If it was anything other than how it appears, why hasn't the Police Union said so?

Does that justify the police being judge, jury, and executioner??????????????????

No, it does not. The PD has passed the investigation to the state. The Police Union haven't made any claims Blake was going for a gun or otherwise putting the officers in immediate danger. The video is self-explanatory.

"I think the police went too far," said Michael Thomey, with the Kenosha Downtown Business District Committee. "If he went in our neighborhood and did something like that, I think the police would've just pulled him out of the car, put some handcuffs on him and gotten to the bottom of it right there without this violence."

Kenosha police for the most part kept a low profile the day after the shooting, but their union president said in a written statement: "... Anytime deadly force is used, our hearts go out to those affected by it. We assure you an independent investigation is being conducted. As always, the video currently circulating does not capture all the intricacies of a highly dynamic incident. We ask that you withhold from passing judgement until all the facts are known..."

RAPE!!!!

The courts might see it that way. Right now I think the police officer(s) who shot him are thinking they should have waited a few more seconds until Blake actually sat in his car and started it to flee.

Poor dumb hill billy redneck hick, cowering with his mommy and scouring rightwing web sites looking for stories about the scary Black people and how it is OK for police to be the judge and jury

Let's all keep in mind here that he had his kids inside the car.

What if the cops had let him get in the car and he managed to speed away, then started driving 100 mph up the highway eventually wrapping the car around a telephone pole, killing not only himself, but his kids and maybe someone else.

The cops always have to take all theses possibilities into account and make split second decisions, while the useless, good-for-nothing asshole protesters and online second guessers, sit in the safe and sound hiding behind their computers and their First Amendment protections, talking a bunch of ignorant shit.

I hope the cops in both this case and the case of Salaythis Melvin get 100% exonerated and reinstated to full pay and duty.

I'm sick of all this thug worshipping by scum who aren't worthy to clean a cop's ass with their tongue.

If he starts the car and floors it..the officers in immediate danger. And the kids. and everyone else on the streets

So now we learned the Cops hit him with a Stun Gun and didn't even phase him, show he was way more MAN than the COP who had a GUN POINTED at him the entire time. They where PISSED that their little Stun Gun didn't do shit.

So are we saying a Man with his little Kids in the Car was going to search around the Car for a Gun?

Really ... so where's the Gun?

I’ve read that the reason the guns were out was because a tazer was used but ineffective.

The guy didn’t look like he was ‘getting in his car’ tho. The head was too forward, instead of back, which it would be if he was lifting his right leg to slide into the seat like we all do. He was leaning into the car, either to hide something or to get something.

What if he sped off to save Trump's life from BLM and Antifa Marxists? What if he was really a space alien sent to Earth to give us the cure for cancer?

I readily agree that Blake shouldn't have been allowed to drive off. Period. The disagreement is that the first cop appeared to be both too quick on the trigger and trigger happy. Notice that Blake's body slumped and the officer pumped three more rounds into his back while holding Blakes t-shirt the entire time.

He has a gun history ...and has pulled one before!

IF if saved Trump's life, would you like all black Americans or just him?

Dude, you just tacitly admitted that the cops had another 15-20 seconds before being "forced to shoot". Blake hadn't even sat down much less started the car and put it into gear so he could floor it.

The video is damning. In Texas, I'm free to shoot someone breaking into my house. What I'm not allowed to do is chase them down, shoot them and while they lay helpless on the ground, pump another three rounds into their back. Even if the first four shots were legal, as soon as the criminal was down, the other shots make it murder.

Do you have a carry permit? Didn't they cover this in class for you?....or is there a reason why you can't carry?
