Accepting Nomination From White House Lawn Violates Hatch Act

I'll think about it. I don't want you losing more money.

Don't worry about lil' ol' me. You made a prediction, I like people who put their money where their mouth is even if they're wrong.

If people had to bet on their predictions there would not be many predictions. I did say I was thinking about it, don't nag me.

Who said they have to? This forum is full of loudmouths and chickenshits who talk the talk but never walk the walk. No law against them being lowlifes and I'd never support such an anticonstitutional law.

Hello coldjoint,

They are going to try and impeach him again when he is re-elected. They got 4 more years to try and get him. Expect the same results. If the House flips it will be really tough.

I don't think we can make any foregone conclusions about the election. The election is the impeachment vote for everyone to decide on. The election has become a referendum on Donald Trump. Particularly, the number one consideration being his mishandling of the pandemic. Wasting valuable time in the beginning with absurd denials has turned the public away from him. 180,000 deaths later they are holding him responsible.

January 22: “We have it totally under control. It’s one person coming in from China. It’s going to be just fine.” The WHO already had a test available. The US CDC turned it down, worked on their own...
February 2: “We pretty much shut it down coming in from China.” The CDC tests are sent out. One week later everybody says they are not working. The CDC admits they got contaminated.
February 24: “The Coronavirus is very much under control in the USA… Stock Market starting to look very good to me!”
February 25: “CDC and my Administration are doing a GREAT job of handling Coronavirus.”
February 25: “I think that's a problem that’s going to go away… They have studied it. They know very much. In fact, we’re very close to a vaccine.”
February 26: “The 15 (cases in the US) within a couple of days is going to be down to close to zero.”
February 26: “We're going very substantially down, not up.” The CDC began sending the first actual working test kits out. We could have been using the WHO test for over a month at this point.
February 27: “One day it’s like a miracle, it will disappear.”
February 28: “We're ordering a lot of supplies. We're ordering a lot of, uh, elements that frankly we wouldn't be ordering unless it was something like this. But we're ordering a lot of different elements of medical.”
February 28: “Now the Democrats are politicizing the coronavirus, you know that, right? Coronavirus, they’re politicizing it. We did one of the great jobs. You say, ‘How’s President Trump doing?’ They go, ‘Oh, not good, not good.’ They have no clue. They don’t have any clue. They can’t even count their votes in Iowa.” “They tried the impeachment hoax. That was on a perfect conversation. They tried anything. They tried it over and over. They’d been doing it since you got in. It’s all turning. They lost. It’s all turning. Think of it. Think of it. And this is their new hoax.”

February 29 “So far, we have lost nobody to corona virus in the United States.”
March 2: “You take a solid flu vaccine, you don't think that could have an impact, or much of an impact, on corona?”
March 2: “A lot of things are happening, a lot of very exciting things are happening and they’re happening very rapidly.”
March 4: “If we have thousands or hundreds of thousands of people that get better just by, you know, sitting around and even going to work — some of them go to work, but they get better.”
March 5: “I NEVER said people that are feeling sick should go to work.”
March 5: “The United States… has, as of now, only 129 cases… and 11 deaths. We are working very hard to keep these numbers as low as possible!”
March 6: “I think we’re doing a really good job in this country at keeping it down… a tremendous job at keeping it down.”
March 6: “Anybody right now, and yesterday, anybody that needs a test gets a test. [NOT TRUE] They’re there. And the tests are beautiful…. the tests are all perfect like the letter was perfect. The transcription was perfect. Right? This was not as perfect as that but pretty good.” [There are not enough tests. The requirements to get tested are extremely restrictive because there are not enough tests.]
March 6: “I like this stuff. I really get it. People are surprised that I understand it… Every one of these doctors said, ‘How do you know so much about this?’ Maybe I have a natural ability. Maybe I should have done that instead of running for president.”
March 6: “I don't need to have the numbers double because of one ship that wasn't our fault.”
March 8: “We have a perfectly coordinated and fine tuned plan at the White House for our attack on CoronaVirus.”
March 9: “This blindsided the world.”
March 9: "The Fake News Media and their partner, the Democrat Party, is doing everything within its semi-considerable power (it used to be greater!) to inflame the CoronaVirus situation, far beyond what the facts would warrant.”
March 10: "It will go away. Just stay calm. It will go away."
March 13: National Emergency Declaration
March 13: “I don't take responsibility at all”

We lost a month of testing on his watch. Not just any month. The most crucial month, right in the beginning. The smaller an outbreak is the better the odds are that it can be controlled with testing, tracing tracing and quarantining.

So if I do not bet I am a lowlife, or I am a lowlife already?

That was all very nice but it won't win you the election. The great Fauci said Trump did a good job.

Very positive words.

If only there were some way to know the future.

Time will tell.

And, as DT likes to say when he hasn't made a decision, but he doesn't want to say so: "We'll see. We'll just have to wait and see what happens."

We'll find out what's in the bill until we pass it. Trump did not say that. Compared to other politicians he is a honest man.

Hello coldjoint,

If you are a Trump supporter, why are you being polite to me? Do you know how rare that is here?

Can you respect a liberal minded American who is ready and willing to share mutual respect and conduct academic civil discourse?

Hello coldjoint,

We'll find out what's in the bill until we pass it. Trump did not say that. Compared to other politicians he is a honest man.

Not being the author of that quote does not make a liar and a cheat into an honest man. This is the same guy who was proud of 'moving on' a married woman. Whose daughter forgave him for 'his language' but made no comment on the fact that he admitted to intent to commit adultery. The guy who said he would get Mexico to pay for the wall and he would eliminate the debt, and has failed to deliver on either promise.

Hello coldjoint,

Excessive lying is no justification for riots. Want to keep going?

I have no problem with continuing political discussions as long as they remain civil and academic. Did you see my post asking if you agree to civil dialog? Shouldn't be a big deal for people who can respect one another as fellow Americans...

It's kind of rare around here, though. There's a lot of people here who seem to have a lot of frustration they are trying to unload. They also never seem to be able to complete the task. All their attempts appear to leave them unfulfilled in their quest. Personal attacks must be constantly repeated. I guess they are just not accomplishing whatever it is they hope to. Which is why that is pointless, I say.

That is found on both sides of the political spectrum. Usually when views are far from the center.

America needs to rekindle respect for one another. We need to rekindle our unity. Bitter division is hurting our country. Do you concur?

Isn't it possible to disagree with respect?
