Accepting Nomination From White House Lawn Violates Hatch Act

Hello coldjoint,

Name some of those laws.

Trump was required by law to turn over his tax and financial information to Congress. He refused to comply with the law. Instead he challenged the law and fought it with lawyers.

Now, this is something he actually promised to do. This is an example of promises made promises broken.

But Trump supporters do not hold him to the same level of accountability they would hold a Democrat.

If Hillary had done this, they would be raising a ruckus for her to turn over her taxes like she said she would.

But since it is Trump, his supporters give him a free pass. They don't want to know if he has cheated on his taxes. If that information ever came out they would not want him prosecuted for it. They would say it is his right to cheat on his taxes and he is the president so he should be able to get away with this. Totally different than if it was a Democrat.

Are Biden supporters (especially here) anything but vulgar and lacking humanity? They're handing 4 more years to the president, tied up with a big red, white, and blue bow;)

Speaking of vulgar and lacking humanity, have you even read Terribot's crapola and use of the "c" word?

Toadstool only cares about ppl who are utterly loyal to him. Talk back or disagree, and you are dead to him.

I just read today that Gen. Kelly was offered the directorship of the FBI if he'd pledge absolute loyalty to trump. trump has ZERO scruples... zero, zilch, nada.

There is no such law. Please name it. Laws have codes, it might help you find it. Because I would like to see it.

Yeah, that's been out there for a long time. It's sickening. How on Earth can you swear absolute loyalty to anyone else?

Took about 2 secs of search:

"There is, in fact, a federal tax law that specifically states if the chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee makes a written request for an individual’s tax returns — as Rep. Richard Neal has done seeking Trump’s — the Treasury secretary “shall furnish” those returns."

Trump Wrong About Tax Law

Hello coldjoint,

Like what the NYT or the WP? CNN, MSNBC? CBS,NBC, ABC?

Any of those main stream news sources would be fine. I like PBS. Also, if it was picked up by Reuters or UPI, that's pretty much a sign that it has been well vetted as being from a source that has ensured the information and backed it up with a reputation for being correct.

Or you could try The Hill, BBC, Time, NPR, Investors Business Daily, The Chicago Tribune, The LA Times, The Miami Herald.

Show me something from one or several of those and it carries more weight.

Trump Wrong About Tax Law

From your source.
Some legal scholars, including Kleinbard, believe that Neal needs to demonstrate a legitimate legislative purpose for requesting the president’s returns. In his letter, Neal notes that the Ways and Means Committee is tasked with ensuring the IRS “is enforcing the laws in a fair and impartial manner.” Neal explains that he has requested the president’s returns to make sure the IRS is doing a good job in its mandated review of the president’s tax returns.
In this case the law is being used without a legitimate reason. So in the spirit of the law Trump will not comply with a fishing expedition.

The pettiness and lack of reasonable behavior from the Left is how you know that they are inferior.

Everything they say must be taken in this light.

Are you serious? Everything Trump does and says is borne of petty vindictiveness. There is no reason to his chaos. He's not "playing 3D chess," as you guys used to claim, nor does he give one damn about America.

Good. We are getting somewhere. Trump did disregard a law he thought he could get away with breaking. He figured he's rich and powerful so he's got special privileges. He's just a grown up spoiled rich brat.

He also broke campaign finance law. He failed to report a check he wrote to Michael Cohen to pay off Stormy Daniels to buy her silence before the 2016 election. The law states that all campaign expenses must be reported.

So fine Trump. Leave his tax returns out of it. Also remember it is the campaign that is responsible, not the man.
