Another mind reader.Unfortunately, I completely agree on that point. No doubt Trump would stand with Putin and watch a May Day/Victory Day parade along with placing a wreath in Red Square.

Since that commemorated the end of WWIL and the sacrifice by the USSR to kill Nazis' yes that would be appropriate
It wont happen due to Russiaphobia - but it would be diplomatically correct

merely displaying your ignorance of diplomacy..I'm here to helpThanks for clarifying Russian history and culture for everyone, comrade anatta. I was hoping you'd jump in to expand the gaps in my knowledge about Russia by displaying your own expertise.

It is way more believable that the narcissistic sociopath Donald Trump was worried about his hair-do and that he simply did not think it worth his time to visit a cemetary of American soldiers. I have zero doubt he considered it an inconvenience and utterly unimportant.
Trump is the classic sociopath. Everyone on this board with a shred of honesty knows it.
The fact that leaders from other World War 2 allied nations managed to make it to the cemetary that day to pay respect to American war dead makes it crystal clear your Orange God could have gone if he made the effort.
false premiseIf Trump cannot mess up his hair-do to pay respects to dead USA soldiers
as long as it was taking a part in a V-day celebration ; although such an extreme would not happenThere is no question that the enormous sacrifices of citizens of the Soviet Union in defeating the Nazi onslaught can and should be acknowledged. But that can be done in ways other than being Putin's poodle and following him to a Red Army cemetary.

mumbling Russian to yourself wont help.Da, tovarisch. Spasibo!

Sorry, I forgot what the question was.You.
I do not think an American president has stood at attention as Russian tanks and missiles have rolled by the Kremlin on Victory Day.
Not a good look.
There are many somber and dignified war memorials in the former USSR which do not require an American to watch a parade of Russian martial prowess. I liked the memorial dedicated to Russian women who died fighting Nazi invaders.
There are other ways to acknowledge the sacrifice of USSR citizens.

Stalin was no feminist. But the situatuon was so dire in winter 1942, that the Soviet military was willing to let women fight in combat units and fly in fighter squadrons
