But for everyday life "faith hope and charity" sounds good , but is nebulous

I can certainly understand why someone might call it a sickness. By definition, sickness is something which can lead to death.

Religion could very well lead to the death of humanity.

Here's how:

Religions tell followers to 'go forth and multiply.'

We have done that, and now there are already too many humans on Earth. And still we multiply. Religions tell followers to keep doing it.

We are in the process of destroying our own habitat.

If we don't change our ways, humanity will surely destroy itself.

We will make our planet inhabitable.

And it remains quite unclear if we can figure out how to live in space or successfully find another planet to inhabit.

I don't think religion is the prob either, certainly not most-THE PROBLEM IS PPL...... Take them out of the equation they are great.. :)

Ppl often blame "religion" for various things, eventhough that religion may not advocate or even condone the actions of it's followers..

The problem with "religion", especially organized religion, is their sets of rules refuse to change, regardless of what their favorite scriptures say.

But I do get what you are saying. It's the people. Dawkins talked about memes.

lol...... I think I saw some of those as a kid in some stores...... Some wood ones even had large holes in them so they could pick up speed before it wack, wacked that butt.............

It will be a little bit harder to get those judges you want now....

I was pleased that some of those judges he appointed put the law & country before the guy that got them there......... I guess the Federalist Society did their homework, props!!

Like what happened in the OP........ I really can't imagine anyone but a real monster making this kinda issue out of that w/ an 8 year old.....

But there are monsters everywhere..........

Yeah that's what I am saying. It takes some kind of sickness to do this to 8-year-old children.
