^^ Levtitcus. I never understood why some people get mad at Christians for what Jews wrote in the Tanakh, aka Hebrew Bible, i.e. Old Testament.
Leviticus is old Jewish Law, and Christians under the new covenent of the NT are not required to follow, obey, or live by Jewish law written in Levtitcus. Paul made it crystal clear that Christians do not have to follow or obey Jewish Law. To the extent mainstream Christians revere the old Testament, it is mainly for it's perceived prophetic statements foreshadowing the coming of the Christ.
#1, I grew up in the evangelical Christian church, and they sure as shit had Leviticus in the OT in that book in every pew.
#2, Jesus said he came to confirm the law, so I think there's dispute about your whole "Christians can forget the OT" theory. Also, MILLIONS of xtians follow the OT and quoted it during gay civil rights (and for that matter black civil rights).
So THAT'S why we "get mad" at Christians for trafficking in their iron-age, misogynistic, racist, murderous bullshit.
