"I blame Christianity" -Bill Maher

I believe this to be true. The 'Christian Nationalists', the ones that want a Christian-based country, are the ones that 'want our country back' and are at the root of the Problem.
The common theme that it is 'White Supremacists' is an easy 'Fall Guy' for all sides. Nobody can really defend 'white supremacy'.
'Christians' on the other hand is like a 'third rail'. Nobody wants to attack the 'Mother Religion'.

It's safer for Democrats to blame 'White Supremacists', why attack 'Christians' and automatically lose 30% of the population.
Republicans (The Party of God) would be shooting themselves in the foot if they admitted 'Christian Nationalists' were the Insurrectionists. How can you admit you are Traitors to the Republic?

I don't think we can blame religion for stupid things people do in the name of religion.

Some people, like yourself, share this view:

"Dominion theology
Dominion theology is a group of Christian political ideologies that seek to institute a nation governed by Christians based on their understandings of biblical law. Extents of rule and ways of achieving governing authority are varied.Wikipedia"

it's the dream of anti human nihilist fascistocrats that human nature is infinitely malleable. if they can't prove that gender tendencies aren't environmental, then they can't get to the task of denying human nature in total.

There are transgender animals. ;)

Something is not necessarily "religious" because it came from a preacher. Don't blame religion for stupid things preachers do in its name.

No I mean can people really be to be blamed for being brainwashed by their pastors? Especially starting at a young age.

Like myself? I am an atheist.

I'm not sure Christianity calls for such a nation. A large percentage of American Christians support separation of church and state. I don't think "dominion theology" is a significant force.
