They can do as they did in the Clinton impeachment, break down into smaller Committees to negotiate witnesses and times before bringing it to the full Senate using the other time to address legislation, Schumer’s call

Actually they are negotiating that. Either way, they won’t call Pelosi. I’m waiting for the Trumptards to show up and say they are calling Obama and Hunter Biden and... you get the idea. All the people that make them hide under their beds.

What some out there still don't get. This is NOT an impeachment trial like the first one actually WAS.
There's no SC Justice presiding and there's no president to unseat. It's theater. A 'purge & ban Trump' show.
It's not an actual trial either because there is no jury as outlined in the Constitution.

but once the witnesses are negotiated, then the trial is a lockdown for the jurors

An impeachment trial is political, it is not the same as a criminal or civil trial. The rules are totally different.
