Psucky Psaki dodges question on gas prices, dementia-riddled Biden MIA

Thank You, I was wondering if Someone would point out the Huge Fly in their Whine Soup.

Clue to the Clueless, the President does not set or control the price of oil and gas. And while we are at it aren't you whiners are the same ones that say you support the US oil and gas industry, but yet you do not want them to make a profit, me thinks you are very confused on a lot when it comes to this topic.

The Fed and States both make more money off of gas than the producers and sellers do.

Are gas prices going up?

Yes, according to federal data, gas prices have mostly been going up since they bottomed out at $1.87 a gallon in late April 2020. With gas prices reaching $2.72 in late February 2021, that’s an increase of 45% within about 10 months.

Part of that has come on Biden’s watch — prices have risen about 10% since he took office in January 2021. The bulk of the increase came under Trump.

Are gas prices higher than they’ve been “in years”?

No. Today’s prices are the highest they’ve been in about 18 months.

Gas prices were similar to or higher than their current level for much of the time between October 2017 and January 2020 — that is, more than two years of Trump’s presidency. Prices were higher than today for all of the time between March 2018 and November 2018, and all of the time between April 2019 and August 2019.

Is the rise in gas prices Joe Biden’s fault?

Some critics of Biden have said that his cancellation of the Keystone XL pipeline early in his presidency would quickly result in higher gasoline prices. But we previously found that, for several reasons, that’s not the case.

For starters, the pipeline wasn’t operating yet. “Revoking it does nothing to today’s balance” of supply and demand, said Mark Finley, a fellow at the Center for Energy Studies at Rice University.

Any price impact from the pipeline decision, or from other Biden policies to limit fossil fuels, would be “years down the road,” said Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy, a website that tracks gas prices.

In addition, most of the oil to be carried by the Keystone XL pipeline would have been exported, meaning U.S. customers should see little direct effect on prices.

Experts said it was conceivable that Biden’s policies could eventually affect gas prices. But any impact wouldn’t be detectable in the recent gas price changes.
So why are gas prices rising?

In general, a president has limited control over the weekly and monthly shifts in gasoline prices. On a short-time horizon, gas prices depend mostly on global supply and demand.

On the supply side, the OPEC oil cartel and Russia have made voluntary production cuts, which has the effect of raising prices, Finley said.

In addition, Finley said, U.S. companies are investing less in finding new sources of oil. This is due to a combination of factors, including low oil prices over the past year, which discourage companies from developing new drilling sites, as well as growing pressure from environmentalists to shift away from fossil fuels.

Leftist rag newspaper.

From that "or from other Biden policies to limit fossil fuels, " will come a gas crunch before the summer is out. Therefore they are dead fucking wrong.

Oh good grief, he did not end all pipeline construction, and it was not even Our pipeline, good the oil and gas industry has lots of place they can drill, and there are some areas that need to be left alone, that is why the land is Federal land, to Leave it as it is, plus think of it as money in the bank for later. NONED of which is drive the price of oil and gas up, heck there are wells sitting all over the place that have been shutdown. Cooper, now we are on to cooper?

Clue the Oil and Gas prices are not related to what Biden just did, do some research.

Then let them slowly raise their prices so they can make a buck, don't forget that little supply and demand angle.

Exactly!

Shutting down a pipe line that was not in operation yet cannot affect POODILLY SQUAT regarding the price of gasoline in America or the cost of tea in CHINA!

The Pipeline in question was about taking crude from the Sand mines in Canada and delivering it to the Gulf for EXPORTATION!

Has nothing to do with the price of gasoline in America ever- now- OR NEVER!

Now which one of you idiots are blaming Joe Biden shutting down the pipeline construction as the excuse for Gasoline going up now?

Fucking idiots!

True but the pipeline Biden stopped for now, is not Our Product and not really for Our Market.

Then take it up with those want gas prices held down so they can get cheap gas but could not give a crap about the oil and gas companies making a profit, you get one or the other, not both, there is a place in the middle but no one wants that, right?

Irrelevant. Plugging that pipeline killed thousands of jobs in Canada and the US. It also killed a revenue stream for refineries in Illinois and Texas, and tank farms in Oklahoma. Next on the chopping block? The Dakota Access Pipeline?

As far as I'm concerned, there is a very slim difference between not giving a crap about the oil and gas companies making a profit, and rooting for them to make every cent they can and not pay taxes on it, but I think it might be healthier if NOBODY gave a crap than if EVERYBODY was reduced to sobbing blobs of Jell-O because someone was making money. So I don't need two positions on this. I'll take either one as long as I get cheap gas. BTW, the price for the mid-grade gas I run in my truck went over 3 bucks a gallon yesterday, up from $2.30 since 1/20/21. I blame the house plant-in-chief, not big oil.

Whoever wrote those EOs for Biden has engineered a fuel crisis for America within the next few months.

Just in case you missed it in the 70s:

Gas rationing and lines around the block are coming soon to a town near you!

I think world supply is too great to ever have gas lines and rationing, even though costs will jump and piss everyone off.

I read elsewhere: "gas prices are creeping up faster than Sleepy joes creeps up on a 9 year old girl" .... Oh, how I laughed.

Thats socialism for ya. You have to get the money from somewhere to pay out all the freebies to keep the black people down and dependant.

The White House on Thursday sidestepped questions asking if President Joe Biden was doing anything to curb rising gas prices, as those in the industry warn motorists might face $3 per gallon in a matter of weeks.

A reporter at the daily briefing asked White House press secretary Jen Psaki if Biden was planning to intervene on the rising prices.

GasBuddy, which tracks fuel prices, warned today that the national average “may breach $3 per gallon by Memorial Day. GasBuddy noted that that large cuts to oil production “will generally be extended.”

“I don’t have anything on that to preview for you,” Psaki responded to the reporter.

Holy crap, Psaki doesn't know and she announced it to the press?

Like night and day, McEnany would have made something up (LIE) and wing nuts, whine, they love being lied to.
