Senate prepares for showdown over filibuster

In the Senate they barely managed to gain parity and that could easily flip in 2022..

Huh?

The Democrats gained three Senate seats, including 2 in Georgia.

History shows that Biden and the Democrats doing what they're doing (lax on illegal immigration / border control, raising taxes, pushing out lots of new regulations, floundering in foreign policy, and the economy either flat or getting worse--gas prices among that, etc.) has historically been a pretty sure bet they get creamed in the mid-terms.

Well, you and your "very fine people" did the exact opposite of all that and you got wiped out in 2018.

It wasn't because it was a midterm election, it was because GOP policies fail to excite voters.

With no Trump on the ticket next year, how do you intend to get "very fine people" to vote for your preferred candidates?

You seem to think the GOP is entitled to a majority in either chamber just by virtue of the mid-term election...but you need to work in order to win elections...they aren't handed to you.

That will be even more difficult for the GOP should the JLVRA get passed.

They did under Carter, Clinton, and Obama. I doubt Joke Biden will do better.

And Trump.

But not during Bush the Dumber.

Every election is different and you can't base your prediction on what happened in the past because what happened in the past is also wildly erratic and unpredictable.

Without Trump on the ticket, the GOP will lose...just like how they lost both Senate races in Georgia two and a half months ago.

And what policy successes will the Democrats have?

COVID recovery
Medicare
Medicaid
Obamacare
Social Security
Child Tax Credit
EITC
Violence against Women Act
Getting OBL

What do you have? Nothing. The sole major piece of legislation you supported was the Tax Cut, and that was as big a disaster as the last giant tax cut Conservatives passed.

13, actually. And that was with Trump on the ticket rising all GOP boats, and the Demos still retained control.

How'd that GOP do in 2018 without Trump on the ticket?

Trump lost in 2020. You yourself has called that win by Biden a "landslide." Now it was Trump that caused this?

Trump lost in 2020.

And Clinton lost in 2016, so what is your fucking point?

You yourself has called that win by Biden a "landslide."

It wasn't me who called it a landslide, it was Trump.

Now it was Drumpf that caused this?

Your inability to control yourself is why Trump lost.

Your inability to control yourself is why you will continue to lose.

Until you learn self-control, you're not going to win jack shit.

COVID recovery

Has done exactly ZERO that wasn't already in place. Biden may be taking credit but there's no proof he's done anything to make any of it happen.

Medicare
Medicaid
Obamacare

What's he done there? It was there before him, will be after him, and it hasn't changed in any significant way that people will notice.

Social Security

Same as above.

Child Tax Credit
EITC

Those haven't changed either and were in tax code long before Biden took office.

Violence against Women Act

Huh?

Getting OBL

Wrong administration. That will have zero effect on the 2022 outcome.

On the other hand...

Biden's disastrous border bungle is going to cost the Democrats. Nobody likes illegal immigration regardless of what the Left claims to the contrary.
Green energy isn't popular at the street level. Gas prices keep going up and the Democrats are screwed. That's been true since Carter was in office.
Gorebal Warming doesn't resonate with a majority of voters.
Foreign affairs fuck ups like the disastrous meeting with China last week-- Same thing. Just another boat anchor for the Dems.
Spending like a drunken sailor? It's going to come back in higher inflation...
Nixing the Keystone, raising corporate taxes, more regulations... Workers will notice when they get laid off and they won't be happy about it.
Governors like Whitmer in Michigan or Cuomo in New York are another potential problem for Democrats. They may be down ticket but their screwing up can influence voters negatively towards Democrats.
HR 1 is going to be a train wreck for a big block of non-Democrat voters if it passes.

What do you have? Nothing. The sole major piece of legislation you supported was the Tax Cut, and that was as big a disaster as the last giant tax cut Conservatives passed.

The Republicans are out of power right now on the national level. 2022 won't be about Trump or Obama. It will be about Biden, Schumer, and Pelosi. That triad of stooges are going to screw the pooch and they're already trying damn hard to do it too.

Has done exactly ZERO that wasn't already in place.

We just passed a $2T bill, so...maybe you didn't realize that?

Biden may be taking credit but there's no proof he's done anything to make any of it happen.

Sure he has. That's how we went up to 3 million shots per day when the best you and Trump could do FOR A MONTH was -maybe- 900,000.

And Clinton lost in 2016, so what is your fucking point?

The Hildabeast is irrelevant here. Her hubby Bill had eight years in office, six of them with a Republican Congress.

It wasn't me who called it a landslide, it was Trump.

You called Biden's win and Trump's loss in 2020 a landslide for Biden.

Your inability to control yourself is why Trump lost.

I had nothing to do with Trump's win or loss.

Your inability to control yourself is why you will continue to lose.

I'm not the one that resorts to raving, ranting, ad hominem, insults, and incoherent statements like the one I just quoted...

Until you learn self-control, you're not going to win jack shit.

And, a second proof of that...

Green energy isn't popular at the street level. Gas prices keep going up and the Democrats are screwed. That's been true since Carter was in office.

Sure it is.

Green energy is way popular.

The Green New Deal has a higher approval rating than every single Republican, including Trump.

Gas prices don't go up because of US policy, they go up because of OPEC and supply concerns. Supply concerns like what happened in Texas a few weeks ago. Remember that? That was all you.

And gas prices will go up way more if KXL is completed because, according to TransCanada, the purpose of KXL is to increase Canadian oil profits by as much as $3B annually.

Foreign affairs fuck ups like the disastrous meeting with China last week-- Same thing. Just another boat anchor for the Dems.

Maybe Biden should have done what Trump did from Jan-Mar 2020 and suck Xi's dick?

Remember, you and Trump were both lavishing praise on China from Jan-Mar 2020.

You said "Democratic successes".

Now you're trying to move the bar because you realized you stepped in it.

I implied within the Biden administration. People won't be voting on Bill Clinton's or Barack Obama's record. They'll be voting on Biden's. 2022 will be a referendum on Biden and the Democrats since 2020. So far Joke's been a disaster.

Nixing the Keystone, raising corporate taxes, more regulations... Workers will notice when they get laid off and they won't be happy about it.

Not sure why you still think KXL is a good idea even after they said this:

“Existing markets for Canadian heavy crude, principally PADD II [U.S. Midwest], are currently oversupplied, resulting in price discounting for Canadian heavy crude oil. Access to the USGC [U.S. Gulf Coast] via the Keystone XL Pipeline is expected to strengthen Canadian crude oil pricing in [the Midwest] by removing this oversupply. This is expected to increase the price of heavy crude to the equivalent cost of imported crude. The resultant increase in the price of heavy crude is estimated to provide an increase in annual revenue to the Canadian producing industry in 2013 of US $2 billion to US $3.9 billion.”

So right there is TransCanada telling you that the price of oil will increase for US consumers if KXL is completed.
