Judging people by the color of their skin rather than the content of their character has a long and ongoing history in the DEMOCRAT Party.

DEMOCRATS were solely responsible for retaining slavery in the face of Republican efforts to end it.

In the shameful Dred Scott decision, DEMOCRATS said black human beings were property. Seven DEMOCRAT justices voted to keep black people in bondage for and two Republican justices voted against this outrage.

The Civil War wasn’t North vs South. It was DEMOCRAT vs Republican.

When federal troops withdrew from the South after reconstruction ended, white supremacy re-emerged with a vengeance enforced by the paramilitary arm of the DEMOCRAT Party which was used to suppress the black vote.
DEMOCRATS are infamous for opposing reconstruction, lynching blacks, founding the Ku Klux Klan, enacting Jim Crow laws, legalizing segregation, and instituting poll taxes and literacy tests.

The DEMOCRAT Party voted against the 13th amendment because they opposed the end of black slavery.

DEMOCRATS opposed the 14th amendment because they opposed black citizenship.

DEMOCRATS opposed the 15th amendment that recognized the black citizen's right to vote.

By the dawn of the 20th century, more than twenty black Republicans had served in Congress despite fierce DEMOCRAT voter suppression tactics and outright terrorism.

DEMOCRATS refused to elect a single black congressman until 1935.

DEMOCRATS filibustered the 1960 Civil Rights Act because they opposed elimination of poll taxes.

DEMOCRATS used a filibuster to hold up the 1964 Civil Rights Act for 60 days, the longest filibuster in Senate history.

Every black senator who served our country until 1979 was a Republican.

I disagree here. Either we tolerate racism or we speak out against it, no matter which side is engaging in it. "Uncle Tim" is a horribly racist hashtag. It's offensive and twitter should hold those accounts responsible and to the same standard as a rw'er making racist comments or hashtags.
