Apparently, there are some break through infections but they should be sufficiently minimal that the pandemic will end once *a sufficient number* of individuals are vaccinated.

The vaccines were only tested for prevention of symptoms, and not for prevention of transmission. trump had one job to do in testing the vaccines, and he failed completely. Now it will take years to figure out how well the vaccines work in prevention of transmission.
Does not work is a strong statement, which probably is not warranted. Most vaccines work to some extent. It could work 10% or 90%, but it will work to reduce transmission. People getting it does not prove the vaccine does not work, but that it is not 100%. No vaccine is 100%, so moving on.
As for the PCR tests being faulty. The British regularly sequence the genes of Covid-19. They cannot sequence genes that are not there. While they obviously did not sequence Maher's virus, they have done it for many vaccinated people, so we know almost always the test is correct.
And we have more impotent anger from the alt right.
It is impossible to do a placebo trial when we have a vaccine. Well, it is possible, but highly immoral, and has not been done. You may have seen numbers for the vaccine preventing symptoms, but that is very different from preventing transmission.
Over the next couple of years, we will get a reliable percent, and be able to estimate how many more. This could have all been done had trump kept his promise, and delivered the tests. he set himself one job, and then failed at it completely.
We know Covid-19 is possible to transmit, even without symptoms. We do not have a likelihood, but we know it is possible. So your claim that it is not possible is just nonsense.
