Hiroshima, 6 August 1945

This is the threat in the 26 July 1945 Potsdam Declaration that warned Japan of prompt and utter annihilation if they did not unconditionally surrender. This was obviously a veiled reference to nuclear strikes.

According to Encyclopedia Britannica this warning was transmitted to Japan by radio broadcast and in millions of leaflets dropped over Japan.

My thought is that something more direct could have been employed to convince civilians of the threat they faced.

Something more direct WAS employed to convince civilians of the threat they faced.
In an instant when the first bomb was dropped, tens of thousands of residents of Hiroshima, Japan were killed by “Little Boy,” the code name for the first atomic bomb used in warfare in world history.

They needed more convincing.

I hope this clarifies to one and all the necessity of both A-Bombs as a way to stop the war.

Why the Japanese Military wanted to fight on after(!) the 2nd Nuke (feat. D.M. Giangreco)

Question? Would anyone want to see Trump in charge of our nuclear arsenal again?

I sure as hell would not?!!

Eight theories on Trump’s “incredible” new secret nuclear weapon

Because your preferred ideology would be squashed with a second Trump term.

And you will say or post anything to help prevent the great man from putting your ideology to rest, once and for all.

1) The threat was ominous but hardly very direct or specific.

2) Supposedly it was illegal in Japan to listen to enemy broadcasts or pick up enemy leaflets.

A similarity between your stance and the Japanese stance can be made here.

You are unwilling to face the reality that you are mistaken, just as the Japs were unwilling to face the reality that they were about to be obliterated.

If I was petty minded enough to want to bust your balls or ball-etts, I might record your prediction to use to chide you in the event the prediction becomes reality.

But it is a long shot to ever occur and I don't need proof from any one event to make the point that Lefties and Libs are usually victims of their own existing design flaws.

And it would be mean-spirited to do so, anyway.

The point is to make America great again.

Not to NECESSARILY demean you guys and gals.

^If he couldn't do it the first time, why would you give him a second chance?

My opinion is that trump will make a lot more money with a lot less work if he doesn't run, but still dangles it as a possibility to the faithful.

Those slurs were created and used to make them feel better about killing their fellow human beings.

It's an effective technique to neutralize 18 years of social programming "Thou shalt not kill".

By dehumanizing the enemy, it makes them less-that-human and, therefore, okay to kill.

This is why the biggest haters on this forum use such slurs to dehumanize and diminish others.

The Japanese survivors of the A-Bombs are suddenly morally corrupt to you?

This is how the blast affected those in the area.

The bombs’ lethal impact can be divided into several phases:

  1. People who died immediately as the result of evisceration or collapsing buildings.
  2. People who walked considerable distances in the aftermath of the detonations before collapsing and dying.
  3. People who died, often in aid stations, in the first and second weeks after the detonations, often from burns and injuries sustained in the bombings.
  4. People who died (often years) later of radiation-induced cancers and other long-term complaints linked to the detonation.

Surviving isn't the same as living, if your life was damaged beyond repair because of the bombing.

We all harbor in our heart of hearts the hopes for an impossible dream to come true.

Aug. 13th is mine.

What's yours?

Going for the longshot in Wackadoodle Land? LOL

My dream is for Biden to legalize pot and for world peace...in that order.

There was this guy who worked in the IT dept. at USACE where I worked as a computer programmer. He looked like a "gook" and is very, very short in stature but very funny. We both have helped each other with solving the network/programming problems. Just incredible how they would view them with that slur.

No one else has his ability and vision to return America to greatness and he has shown his commitment by being the only POTUS in recent times to have not enjoyed greater wealth as a result of serving the people.

He loves America.

And we want someone in charge who loves America as much as we love America and someone who has his courage and vision and ability.

He could have made a zillion more dollars by staying out of politics.

His life would have been far more pleasant.

His family would not have suffered the slings and arrows meant for him.

He does what he does for U.S.

Not to satisfy a need for power or lucre.

I think if he ran, so would Melania.

Lol. Michael Wolff claims that she never actually lived in the WH during trump's administration. Supposedly she lived with her parents and Barron in her parents' house in Potomac, MD and only came to the WH for official reasons. That's where Barron's school is, too, and it's over 20 miles from the WH.

I believe it, she hated being 1st lady.
