Pentagon admits Kabul drone strike 'tragic mistake' after killing 10 civilians...

collateral damage is common when using drones in or near cities, has happened many times since the Gulf War in many countries under various presidents

buck up snowflakes, everything's gonna be ok
pathetic. this wasn't "collateral damage" this was insufficient targeting info that led to the death of kids

I don't think there's much back story. It was an easy target. Thousands of people crowded into a confined area, with numerous American military. He couldn't miss.

There were hundreds of 'civilians' there which meant absolutely nothing to ISIS. They hate everybody.

War is hell. Best not to start one.

In this case, it was blood lust by our intelligence, and they goofed. Now they have to find actually enemies to exact revenge against.

The USA needs to take responsibility for radicalizing many who have been labeled as terrorists around the globe. This family killed today just might have some young nephews or other relatives who now have all the moral justification in the world to hate the USA.

at least under Biden we get the unvarnished truth when these events happen, Trump and his toadies would have buried the whole affair

lest we forget
lies. Milley and the admin claimed "secondary explosions" when they had no evidence.
They said they knew the target, when asked how ( Kirby) wouldn't say

The NYTimes gave the "unvarnished truth ( to their credit) while the Pentagon continued the big lie
until they couldn't anymore

The military did man up that they made a mistake, something the orange buffoon Trump's administration would never do?!! They military is also plan on firing the person or persons that made this call too?!! They also plan on paying reparation's to the families of those killed too!

Do you really believe this is an isolated incident? And if it was the Taliban that accidentally blew up an American family, it would surely be called a terrorist attack.

Every time we built a military base in Muslim holy lands, it radicalized thousands against us.

We just didn't care, as these primitive tribes posed no threat.

Until decades of our whoring for oil, when we created billionaires out of these animals.

This isn't new. We're just playing whack a mole, and we're not very good at it.

This lady was radicalized over fake news.

A quote from a North Korean lady in a documentary.

My father-in-law has often told us about the enemy and about his experiences during the war.

So even though l wasn't in the war myself his stories have showed me how bad and how cruel those American dogs were for our people.

We must ensure that our people never suffer at the hands of those American monsters ever again.

l believe from the bottom of my heart that we must do everything to destroy all American monsters, everywhere.

And people wonder why the youth of these nations become radicalized? Really?
Signature strikes ( and collateral damage for non-signature strikes) aren't the only reason

Poverty. fundamentalism. a desire to use religion for personal aggrandizement also.
But ya. These are horrible and a 'point to' reason to radicalize

They had info a "white car" was prepping a suicide attack ( car bomber)
They found the white car. they thought the water bottles were explosives

IOWs they targeted the behavior and not the identity

I think we can all agree they had bad intel this time around. The question is can you afford not to go after it especially if the tradeoff is another suicide bombing?

Btw since we have no boots on the ground and rely on "over the horizon capability" this is pretty much what all ops will look like from now on.

1. Plan to make some people angry
2. They get angry
3. People are radicalized and kill people
4. ??? Profit

Humans are humans. Shocking isn't it?

Bingo. Biden touting "over the horizon" is bullshit.

I mean it can work, but you MUST KNOW THE TARGET, and not just the behavior ( signature) of a terrorist
I recall one poor sap in Pakistan was droned for doing jumping jacks ( terrorist training)

Over the horizon must be limited to 'high value ' targets. leadership in ISIS-k for ex.

If we dont know exactly who we are striking, then dont do it
