thank you California....

The most popular meat in Japan is pork. Just saying.

That it is. While chicken, beef, and fish are popular, pork outsells them all in Japan.
Pork requires very little space to raise, compared to beef. Pigs don't graze. They eat anything you feed 'em (excepting orange peels, which they don't like). Even individually wrapped restaurant crackers aren't a problem for them. Just dump 'em in the pen. They'll just eat 'em, then spit out the wrapper.

Nature's bulldozer.

I think farmers should just stop selling their products to California. I can bet that would get these laws dumped PDQ as the Leftist bullies face the reality that the general public is truly pissed off that they can't get a decent selection of food...

California? The 4th., or is it now second, largest economy in the world? And just what is it about treating animals humanely that has your titties in a sling?

Probably the same lack of morals that keeps your titties wound up about treating your fellow mankind with respect, and humanely.

So you have no idea how far California has sunk on the economy scale. You poor dumb bastard.

Sorry dumber then a rock (aka Chickenhawk10) but the largest farms are in Iowa, and guess what fool. We never raised our hogs in cages. The get leaner, and grow faster with a third less grain, if allowed to root. And when China bought out Smith they became the largest producer.

like I said boy, get your head out of its usual resting ;place.

https://civileats.com/2020/10/26/could-crate-free-pork-become-the-new-industry-standard/

FYI: "As of March 2021, Iowa had an inventory of about 23.8 million hogs and pigs, making it the top producer of swine in the country by a large margin. In that same year, the second largest producer of hogs and pigs was Minnesota, with about 9 million head. Pigs have several advantages over other livestock."

Yeah, and Newsom just banned a large percentage of Iowan pork from getting into California. Thank you so much for proving my point! :good4u:

From your link: "Less than 1 percent of pork producers are currently in compliance with Proposition 12, according to the NPPC. This means that until producers adopt the new standards, 99 percent of them will be barred from doing in business in California’s economy after December 31, 2021."

There will be some excess hog at reduced prices around New Years. Thank You, California Leftards!

The SOTC economy is dying. It's why so many people are moving OUT of the SOTC.
U-Haul can't even keep up with demand. They will PAY people to dead head trucks back into the SOTC.
