7 Arkansas 2,953
8 Georgia 2,911
9 Florida 2,896
10 West Virginia 2,881

USA Overall: 2,470

Are you seeing red?

The 2 blue states there have very high population centers...

What's the reason for the red states?

Anybody wanna take a wild guess?

Maybe the red states just had more old people and obesity?

Mississippi does have the nation's highest obesity rate.

Come to think of it, America is pretty fat compared to many other nations.

I wonder how the USA stacks up against other countries in deaths per million.

Looking at the link, it can be discerned that America has the 20th most deaths per million in the world.

And some of the countries with more were pretty small. 100 deaths in Gibraltar put them over the USA. So did 94 total deaths in San Marino.

I wonder if Republican soft-on-COVID policies help the disease spread more and resulted in more deaths?

Ya think?

No surprise here, that most are red states, but West Virginia has a vaccine rate of 71.4% that are fully vaccinated?!! Must be the un-vaccinated causing the problem or most got the J&J vaccine?!!

underlying causes are the cause and generally less than good health is such a thing.

Counties that voted for Trump have a higher Covid death rate, analysis reveals

Data analysis has revealed that if US Democratic voters were to make up their own country, it would have one of the world’s most vaccinated populations, with over 91% of adults having received at least one shot.

Meanwhile, approximately only 60% of Republican adults have received their first shot, according to data research by the New York Times.

And the gap in Covid’s death toll between “blue” states that vote mostly Democratic and “red” states that vote mostly Republican this fall widened more quickly than at any previous point of the pandemic.

A total of 25 out of every 100,000 residents in counties that voted for Donald Trump died of Covid in October, compared to the 7.8 per 100,000 in counties that voted heavily for Biden, according to the data analysis from the Times.

October marked the fifth consecutive month that the percentage gap of death rates in red and blue counties widened.

Hello McRocket,

Kindly refrain from trying to make this about me, thank you.

That's not very civil.

Alright.
I will put it another way.

Why are you starting this thread?
It looks like you are just trying to rub it in to anti-vaxxers.

Surely you know that they are not going to change their minds.
So what is the point of this?

So should Joe Biden step down using his own standards against Trump?

“220,000 Americans dead,” he said during the Oct. 22 debate. “You hear nothing else I say tonight, hear this. Anyone who … is responsible for that many deaths should not remain as president of the United States of America.”

Should Biden step down given his own standard?

How do unvaccinated rednecks pose a danger to vaccinated leftists? Shold Biden step down using his own standard when Trump was President?

How do unvaccinated Trump voters pose a threat to vaccinated leftist morons who voted for Biden? Should Biden step down based on the standard he imposed on the Trump Presidency?

The cost of the pandemic in financial terms in in the tens of billions of dollars. And it is going to get much worse now, because people refuse to be vaccinated. Anyone who asks 'what difference does it make to a vaccinated person' is uninformed and willfully ignorant.

I began the thread because I hoped it would stir a good discussion.

I wonder how many people realize how bad the pandemic has gotten.

There seems to be a huge outbreak in COVID fatigue, but now is no time to drop your guard.

One out of every 287 people is Mississippi is dead of COVID.

Hopefully the people in these high death states will take notice and redouble their safety efforts.
