Jumping in, I'm against mandating vaccines for any citizens.
OTOH, all citizens have a right to not be infected by an infected careless asshole just like they have a right not to be shot by a careless asshole waving a gun.
The Constitution mandates the government to protect the public welfare. Obviously there's a line between individual rights, State's rights and the rights of all citizens.
IMO, it's okay to mandate students at public schools to be vaccinated or tested and masked. Same for all those in public buildings. If a city or county's citizens support it, they can do the same for private businesses thus assisting in enforcement.
I'm completely against mandating medical procedures. It was wrong when the Republicans forced women to be "wanded" for abortions and it's wrong to force someone to inject anything in their bodies without a court order (e.g. mental adjudication).
And what should the penalty be for not getting the vaccines?
