There's zealots on both sides. The religious right thinks life begins at conception while the political radicals on the left think life begins at birth. 70% of America uses science as their guide and they tend to think the first trimester is a reasonable cutoff for abortion. This 70% is comprised of republicans,democrats and independents.

Agreed zealots come in all flavors. Too bad the 70% isn't part of the Republican agenda to ban abortion, gay marriage and contraception.
