Trump causes inflation to surge to 3.8%, its highest in three years

Inflation surged to 3.8% in April, its highest level in nearly three years

Inflation surged to 3.8% in April, its highest level in nearly three years, according to data released Tuesday, as the war in Iran causes a ripple effect across the economy and energy prices surge.

As inflation continues to accelerate, it’s eating into Americans’ wages at a rapid clip. April’s inflation rate means that prices are now rising faster than wages, which could exacerbate the affordability crisis that has already been gripping consumers.

Argument from randU fallacy. There is no data for that period. NBC is just making shit up again.
You having an affordability crisis? Get a job.

B-b-but BIDEN! It's HIS fault! lol

Inversion fallacy.

"We're going to end inflation on Day One!"
👉 Donald Trump, November 2024
Oh THAT's rich! The economic depression during Obama/Biden saw the dollar devalued by 52%. The economic depression during Biden/Obama saw the dollar further devalued by 37%.

Trump ended both economic depressions.

During Trump's first term the dollar was only devalued by 6%.

🧊 FACT CHECK: “Argument from randU fallacy. There is no data for that period. NBC is just making it up.”

1. “There is no data for that period.”

False.
The April inflation report does exist, and it was published by the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) — the federal agency that produces the Consumer Price Index (CPI). NBC was reporting on official government data, not inventing numbers.

Sources:

  • Bureau of Labor Statistics – CPI Summary (official monthly release)
  • NBC News reporting based on that release
The BLS publishes inflation data every single month, without gaps. Claiming “there is no data” is simply incorrect.

2. “NBC is making it up.”

False.
NBC’s article is a summary of the BLS report, which is public, timestamped, and archived. Media outlets routinely report on CPI the moment BLS releases it.
NBC did not fabricate numbers — they quoted the federal data directly.

3. “Argument from randU fallacy.”

This is misapplied.
“randU” refers to a flawed random number generator from the 1960s, not inflation reporting. It has nothing to do with CPI, BLS methodology, or NBC’s article.
Using the term here is rhetorical noise, not a valid critique.

4. “You having an affordability crisis? Get a job.”

This is not a factual rebuttal — it’s an insult. It does not address:
  • the BLS data
  • the inflation rate
  • the wage‑price relationship
  • the reporting accuracy
It’s a deflection, not an argument.

The federal reserve is the source, Poorboy. Not random numbers.
You don't accept any such source as evidenced by your refusal to accept BLS numbers. Ergo:

Argument from randU fallacy.
Random numbers are not data.
Fallacy fallacy. Inversion fallacy.
I see you have now started using a definition you claimed didn't exist. You are too funny with your ignorance and inability to be consistent in your positions.

Trump is going to use armed ICE to intimidate voters. I do not know the rules in other states, but there is a 100-foot buffer that people cannot cross to give voters pamphlets or voting paperwork in Michigan. I am pretty sure they will ignore those limits.
there is a 100-foot buffer in NY too.

The claim is not supported by any Federal Reserve or BLS data. There is no evidence that the dollar was “devalued by 52% under Obama/Biden,” “37% under Biden/Obama,” or “only 6% under Trump.” These numbers do not appear in any Federal Reserve dataset, CPI series, or purchasing‑power metrics.

Oh, I know he won’t read a single word. He’ll just sprint back in here shrieking fifteen imaginary fallacies like a toddler shaking a Magic 8‑Ball and calling it logic. The man’s an idiot.

An idiot voted for by 77 million plus idiots who had already seen his act in a previous term. That's where we are as a nation.

And when ALL of the BBB takes effect AFTER the mid terms we will watch them cry like babies.
As I asked before why didn't the republicans want it to go into effect right away if it is as good as they say?
If you have tried to read it it is one hell of a mess, there are hundreds of changes in the first few pages it takes an army of lawyers to try and a mean TRY to figure it all out.
Heck some of them in the southern red states have already started to fell the effects and have already started crying about the cuts in medicare and medicaid.
