Yes, I have. Back when I lived in Maryland. I went to experience this "culture" they all go on about. I watched "Lost in Yonkers" I enjoyed it, but thought it was overly expensive for the show, and went to "Guys and Dolls"... again, enjoyable, but not worth the amount of deneg one needed to drop on such an outing.
More recently: Kinky Boots. I took my daughters to that one. Waaaaaaaaaay more than anyone should pay for that show.
Thankfully I avoided others, like Cats... Though I did go see Hamilton off Broadway, that one was fun, but not worth the money that Broadway charges just because it is Broadway. Much like a John Deere tractor... Not worth the extra money to get it in John Deere green.
But you never saw anything playing on Broadway, not a road version, but the actual performance on Broadway?
I didn’t see Hamilton on Broadway because it was on Broadway, rather because it was the actual show performed at its best, as I said, you are seeing Triple A baseball and accepting it as a full version of the Major Leagues

Of the shows I listed, all of them but Hamilton were watched on Broadway. My opinion is based on experience, unlike yours.
