Garcia was railroaded and slandered by a historically evil and corrupt DOJ. You know it. I know it. You're wasting so much time deflecting from the real problem. Corruption and incompetence you spent a lot of time whining about under Biden but now you don't seem to care. Why?

Wrong! Garcia was found deportable and given a final order of deportation. Biden's administration, in over 4 years, did nothing to carry that order out. Garcia's immigration lawyer(s) tried a relatively common ploy of applying for asylum after that order was issued. The US immigration system is such that the asylum request must be heard regardless of the final order of deportation. Lawyers know that and use it to drag out the inevitable.

Trump came into office and carried out the order of deportation sending Garcia to El Salvador. Boasberg, the first judge involved in this, and who clearly hates Trump, issued an immediate order to return Garcia to the US setting off the shit storm of stupidity that followed. At least 2 other federal judges, possibly 3, jumped in to further turn this now clusterfuck into an argument why they all should be fired.

Trump's DOJ piled on with new charges just because as a knee jerk reaction to the imbecility of the courts. This isn't a one-sided thing. You have Trump hating judges, along with several that aren't that sharp, dealing with a vindictive DOJ out to get the judges, not Garcia. Garcia is just a political football being pummeled by the legal system at this point.

There wasn't a court order saying he couldn't be sent to El Salvador.

An immigration judge in 2019 had granted him protection from being deported back to El Salvador, where Abrego Garcia was likely to face persecution by local gangs. He had a legal work permit issued by the Department of Homeland Security, his lawyer said.

That is untrue. There was no deportation order.

An immigration judge denied Abrego Garcia’s asylum request in October 2019 but granted him protection from being deported back to El Salvador.
