Will Spencer Pratt be the next mayor of L.A.? Karen Bass has already proven she sucks at the job. He is out raising her 10 to 1 in money . Plus he is getting free viral ads that are pretty cleaver. He says he wants to fix LA's problems. Bass didn't fix LA's problem when she had her chance to do it.

If Jesus Christ were listed on the ballot, he would lose unless he had a D beside his name.
Sadly, mail-in ballots will give this to Bass in a landslide.

I thinkmPratt has a good chance of wining against Bass.
I went to school in L.A. and lived in L.A. after for a bit, so I've always followed their local politics from a distance.

The City has about 15% or so registered Republicans. They've elected one Republican Mayor in the last 61 years. It's been a decade since they elected one to city council.

There was another thread on this and I went into the whole Rick Caruso thing in the last Mayor's race.

To Pratt's credit he's kept his focus on local issues and the poor job Bass has done. And yes his videos are going viral and getting national attention. But national attention doesn't mean votes in L.A.

It will be a minor miracle for Pratt to win.

They said the same thing about Trump in 2012.

A better analogy I might offer is Texas, since I know that's your home. Over the past decade, how many races have you heard Democrats get all excited about saying they are finally going to break through and win a statewide election? And how many have they won? Zero.

I'm not saying Pratt can't win. But this isn't a national election. It's a City election where the electorate is heavily anti-Republican.

Pratt's a has-been actor who couldn't make it in show business. He'll do and say anything for publicity.
