I think pretending that folks like that do not exist is far more damaging to folks than having a few shows that let people know they exist.

No one is "pretending that folks like that do not exist"; and promoting the perversion of deviant sexual practices to minor audiences by depicting such activities as "cool" is grooming, IMO.

"A few shows that let them know they exist", eh?

My preference would take the form of cautionary tales about adults touching children inappropriately, and that is the role of the parents.
