Candace Owens makes a hard pitch on Russian state TV for Tucker Carlson to run for president

popular podcast host Candace Owens, best known for her bombastic rhetoric and spreading conspiracy theories, made a hard pitch for Tucker Carlson running for president while on Russian state television on Thursday.

Owens spoke to the press while attending Russia’s ‘Davos,’ the St Petersburg Economic Forum, alongside other Russia-friendly celebrities like Steven Segal and Andrew Tate.

Owens has grabbed headlines for months now for spreading various conspiracy theories about the death of Charlie Kirk, implicating everyone from Israel to the U.S. military to Kirk’s own Turning Point USA organization. Kirk’s widow publicly condemned Owens and asked her to stop.
 
It is time to build a serious third rail and stop rewarding “lesser evil” politics.

The people still blindly riding the MAGA train after all of this are not thinking clearly. They are protecting a broken machine because they are terrified of letting go of it.

Yes, breaking from that system may let Democrats win in the short term. So be it. The current political order is already headed for a crash, and frankly, Democrats deserve to be the ones holding the bag when it happens. They helped create most of the incentives, institutions, spending habits, and cultural rot that got us here.

The answer is not more loyalty to a party that keeps betraying its voters. The answer is building something outside the two-party hostage situation.

She may have gotten headlines in right-wing circles, but this is new to people outside the Trump cult.

Despite that, prior from Tucker leading the America First split from the rest of Magats, i believed he was the only current person who could arguably step into the Maga coalition Trump structured for 2024 and keep it together for an invigorated vote in 2028.

Vance has no chance at keeping them all together and Rubio would shift back to being more traditional GOP and NeoCon creating a fracture in that base.

Now not even Tucker could pull that coalition together as Trump has excited the NeoCon part of the Magat base who are hungry for the US to go into debt being the worlds policeman as some countries have 'bad people' running them and they believe the US needs to remove them.

These current magats make the older school NeoCon's like Cheney, Bolton, etc look tame in comparison as they clap excitedly at all the extra judicial killings and wars on "drugs dealers", etc.

Ya Vance was always a Peter Thiel puppet. The idea and hope is Trump would be mostly restrained as he was in term 1 and Vance could ride it out and then transition to Potus after. But Vance will not be able to shake this Trump taint. Maga will be rejected in 2028, when Trump steps down and Vance will be flushed with it.

More importantly the people who run America from the shadows were fine with Trump subbing Vance for Rubio as VP....they told him it had to be Rubio....but something happened.....they no longer trust Vance to do as he is told.
 
BTW the reason Rubio wears two hats like Kissinger even though he is not qualified for either is that this is his compensation for not being VP even though he has a fab record of working for the oligarchs, and was programed for VP.

If Tucker runs, it will be very interesting how much of MAGA goes to him. He kinda is their perfect candidate.

maga has split. The core of maga is now aligned with Rubio and the NeoCon's and believe in a reinvigorated "America as world policeman because bad people run countries some where and America MUST take them out spending tax payer money'. those people would not support Tucker now.

The big portion of maga who was America First and believed Trump was ending all the foreign wars and adventurism and would pour tax payer dollars into home based improvements are now mostly out of the coalition.

Before the split i saw Tucker as the only person, currently on the map who could keep the Trump coalition together but no longer.

Steve Bannon may run and try but i think he is a charisma killer and cannot attract people to vote for him.

I'm responding to your post, but not addressing you personally. The idea that Tucker was somehow a 'perfect' candidate is beyond laughable.

He's a commentator. Like us here, commentators can be ideologically pure. There's a certain appeal to that yes, because we don't have to talk about tradeoffs, building coalitions, governing etc.

If you told me liberals listen more to Tucker than many #MAGA folks I wouldn't be shocked.

Tucker was never going to run for office and if he did he ultimately wouldn't get anywhere (and this is before he went even further off the deep end).

you say that as we constantly see more and more reality TV people moving into politics and achieving great success.

What we have learned, the last few election cycles, is the LESS you look like a typical career politician and present as something new and diffeerent wanting to 'disrupt the old system', the easier it is to gain traction.

I find you entire analysis of why Tucker would not work to be outdated and flawed.
