Ha! Someone here has repeatedly said how "amazing" a show it was, how patriotic, how wonderful, and demanded to know if so and so had watched it too. But she carefully, never once, directly said that she watched it. Now we know why -- the pathetic wretch couldn't afford Paramount. lol

She knows what it means and uses it in the RW sense -- "to kill." MAGATs are the country's largest group of victims and seeing "8647" spelled out sends them to the swooning couch. It is, as you pointed out, okay to use it for Pres. Biden though.

The bells and whistles were disgusting. Absolutely a disgrace. There was a closing segment after the card ended that most people didn't see. It could have been a beautiful moment that illustrated our nation's history of having respected leaders. But it wasn't.

Some moron decided to have audio with photos of Kennedy's 'ask not' speech, Clinton's comments as POTUS, as well as Obama's inspiring words. Then, they played audio of trump actually reading prepared comments (for once) where he talks about how nothing is impossible in this nation. Not sure where he had delivered that opening to what no doubt descended into hateful rhetoric.

They flashed pictures of past presidents, and ended with a microsecond shot of trump's bloody face after his staged shooting. The blood was highlighted to cover a lot more of his face than the movie prop blood initially covered.

It was tacky as hell, and a fitting close to a nauseating night of obvious grifting and self promotion.
