Thanks, Karen, but if you had read the post, you would have seen the 12-year-old girl with the knives in her hands.Police Scotland admit couple involved in Dundee 'axe' girl incident were Bulgarians
The force has urged people to stop spreading 'misinformation' about the confrontation on Saturday afternoon, which has seen the likes of Elon Musk accused of 'dangerous and divisive' rhetoric
Video footage taken on Saturday afternoon shows a young girl brandishing a knife and a hatchet by the side of a busy dual carriageway in the city. The youngster can be heard to shout "f***ing kid bashers" and another girl yells: "Don't f***ing punch my little sister, she's 12." Meanwhile, a man behind the camera says: "Show the knife, show the knife..."
...Chief Superintendent Nicola Russell said: "We are aware of misinformation being shared on social media in relation to an incident where a Bulgarian couple were approached by youths in St Ann Lane, Dundee, on Saturday, 23 August, 2025.
"A 12-year-old girl has been charged with being in possession of offensive weapons. She will be referred to the relevant authorities and our enquiries are ongoing. We would like to thank the local community for their help with our investigation and would urge the public not to share misinformation about this incident or speculate on the circumstances..."
"...Officers are understood to have reviewed CCTV and made other inquiries but found nothing to support the allegations made against the Bulgarian couple. The police previously said the girl who has been charged was 14, although this error has now been corrected in today's statement.
"...Ms El-Nakla, the equalities spokeswoman for the Dundee SNP group, added: "It is also clear that elements of the far right are attempting to hijack this incident to spread a racist, anti-immigration agenda. This is both dangerous and divisive, and it threatens the cohesion of our communities."

Squiggy, I read the post, looked at the pictures and checked other sources. If you had any critical thinking skills, you too would have realized this was staged. Thanks, Karen, but if you had read the post, you would have seen the 12-year-old girl with the knives in her hands.
