Hello JPP posters,

Full disclosure: I was a long-time poster at RePolitics (WestCanMan). and I'm a staunch conservative with a healthy disdain for leftists on both sides of the Canada/US border, as well as the MSM in both countries.

I know that some of the leftists from there also post here, but hopefully there are some reasonable leftists here that are capable of honest debate.

Based on your stated long posting history I'm guessing not a Millennial or Gen Z, but was just curious.

Of course small government is the main attribute of a conservative gov't, and with small gov't there's also less cronyism, because the gov't has less taxpayer money to run through their family and friends' greasy little fingers.
Pragmatism is actually the biggest one.
Putting our country first is suddenly a big one.
Foresight isn't supposed to be a 'conservative' trait, but left-wing parties waste so much time dividing people and pandering to individual groups that they completely lose sight of the big picture. Eg, in Canada, we would have had hundreds of billions of dollars worth of energy infrastructure built already if Trudeau was never elected, and we would be better-prepared for this trade war. In the US, the Dems' lack of foresight had Iran on the verge of acquiring nukes. Leftist governments seriously waste so much time and energy on domestic BS & fairy tales that the real world is always on the backburner, and they play catch-up with the economy and foreign affairs. If I had to guess the Dems' two main issues right now it's trans and abortions? Our LPoC is focused on flying around, lying and achieving nothing?
Unity is a big one. Conservatives focus on all people equally, they just move the whole country fwd. "All ships rise with the tide". Leftists are divisive and hateful.

Conservatism is a lifestyle of principles and conscience but no one wants to admit they're neocons who wipe their ass with the constitution. I'm a little abrasive but not rude. I take pride in my morals that I spent 50 years developing.

Conservatism is a fascinating topic.

Right. That old dead canard. It's been rebranded, you know. "Government so small that it can fit in your uterus, your locker room, and a public bathroom stall."

It must be a strange feeling to be an actual real conservative these days, if you really are one. Talk about being a stranger in a strange land. There is nothing conservative about the current corrupt regime.
