Birthright DECISION, Trump is WRONG.

You retard! That was for people already living here. Slaves, Chinese, Basque, Gypsies cuz they're kinda like Basque.
It wasn't for foreigners to just come in here and drop babies, you idiot!
The basque still have places like Indian reservations in the west.

Stop talking you ignorant idiot.

The Framers and Congress specifically addressed "transient foreigners", "tourists" and "Short term visitors" and DELIBERATELY included them.

During the 1866 congressional debates, the architects of the amendment explicitly discussed and affirmed that the text covered the children of transient foreigners, tourists, and short-term visitors, rather than restricting it solely to established residents or formerly enslaved people. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

The 1866 Congressional Debates on Transients
When drafting the Citizenship Clause, Senators explicitly challenged the text by raising scenarios involving temporary visitors and foreign nationals: [1, 2, 3, 4]
  • The "Transient" Question: Senator Edgar Cowan of Pennsylvania, an opponent of the amendment, explicitly objected because he feared it would grant citizenship to the children of transient immigrants—specifically targeting Chinese immigrants in California and Roma people ("Gypsies") in the Northeast. [1, 2, 3]
  • The Framers' Response: Senator John Conness of California, a supporter of the amendment, responded directly. He acknowledged that it would indeed apply to the children of Chinese immigrants and transients, stating that this was a feature of the law, not a flaw. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
  • Defining Jurisdiction: Senator Lyman Trumbull, Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, clarified the phrase "subject to the jurisdiction thereof." He stated it meant that the parents must not be foreign diplomats or part of an invading army. If a foreign national is visiting American soil, they are bound by U.S. laws, can be tried in U.S. courts, and are therefore under U.S. jurisdiction. Consequently, their U.S.-born children are citizens. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

FLOL at how painfully stupid you are.

I have shown the very specific DEBATES held by supporters and detractors of the 14th and how they debated the EXACT issues you magat morons say the 14th was never meant to include.

Not only do the exact debates show they did intend them but they had heated arguments over them going into very specific details such as people just coming to the US to get a foot in the US so their child could then be granted citizenship as those against the Amendment stated and feared.

Those that supported the Amendment argued that 'Yes that can happen and THAT IS THE POINT', making it crystal clear that despite that potential the child would still get citizenship and they said 'THAT IS THE POINT OF THE 14th'.

And after those debates they PASSED it knowing very well they included ALL PERSONs born in the US.

You have not. You have linked to propaganda and Wikipedia in the post I quoted. Where's the beef?!
These are your retarded links:
^ All unreliable links.
The 14th was written mainly for freed slaves, and the 15th cemented it.
In the 14th they did add-in for the Chinese and Basque and gypsies that were already here.
Like I said, The Basque still have reservations out west.

Which just shows once again how stupid you are.

Each of the points i cited that is included in the Wikepedia citations has the full list of citations to EACH COMMENT as a hyperlink or at the bottom of the wikepedia page.

You being stupid, do not know this.

Pick a statement i have quoted above that you cannot find the exact citations for and i will easily get it for from those links.

Foreign nationals can't just come here specifically to have a child and call it American when their allegiance is to another country. :nono:

The 14th was written for freed black slaves, and to fix Dredd Scott. The Supreme Court did that, too. :rolleyes2:

Watch what happens with the American black vote with this upcoming election because The Supreme Court just sold them down the river,
and all other Americans right next to them.

There's going to be so many visas cancelled this next month, you're gonna be cryin'. :awesome:

To people already IN the US THEN. Not forever, retard.

You are lying and stupid.

i have quoted very specific talk and passionate arguments from the Framers to the Congress. Congress people who HATED the idea that the 14th would allow for 'tourist type baby birth citizenship from people coming from undesirable countries' and the Framers and Congress people saying very specifically "yes the 14th accomodates that and that is the point'.

They then voted and instituted the Constitutional process and enacted for that VERY PURPOSE.

Also.. :rofl2:
"
(C) Foreign policy
(i)In general
An alien whose entry or proposed activities in the United States the Secretary of State has reasonable ground to believe would have potentially serious adverse foreign policy consequences for the United States is inadmissible."

Checkmate, beyotch!

- the framers explicitly discussed and accepted that its sweeping language—protecting "all persons" and establishing birthright citizenship—would extend protections to highly unpopular immigrant groups, most notably Chinese migrants and Romani people (referred to at the time as "Gypsies"..
- Opponents of the amendment vehemently argued against it precisely because it would grant civil rights and birthright citizenship to these non-white immigrant groups.

- The authors of the amendment openly acknowledged this outcome and insisted that the law must apply universally to everyone within U.S. borders.

The key congressional exchanges from the Congressional Globe show how clearly this was understood:

- The Opposition: Warning Against "Gypsies" and the "Mongol Race"
Senator Edgar Cowan, a conservative Republican from Pennsylvania, led the opposition by explicitly painting a picture of states being culturally and politically "overrun" by undesirable foreign populations. He argued that states should have the right to deny them citizenship and equal standing

- The Authors' Response: Demanding Universal Equality
The principal architects of the 14th Amendment directly answered Cowan, confirming that the amendment was intentionally drafted to include these groups, regardless of how unpopular they were.

Only because people try to twist words and things need to be made perfectly clear in no uncertain terms.
I wouldn't really call it twisting. The Constitution leaves a lot of room for interpretation and every person is going to interpret the wording a different way.
