Moral Question after Latest Bombshell - Support Platner or Not?

BOTTOM LINE...if Platner is not the candidate, Susan Collins almost certainly will win...and Susan Collins is, in my estimation, one of the worst senators in that body.

It seems that if Platner continues, he will likely lose.

From a purely political perspective, the "likely lose" in that second sentence appears to me to be a better option than the"almost certainly"of the former sentence.

As far as the moral considerations are concerned, beating the MAGA rabbel should be the primary moral goal if the salvation of our nation is important...and I think it is.

In my opinion, this is a bit of bitter medicine we just have to take.

Platner should stay as the candidate.

He's tainted. Get a non-tainted candidate. As a mainly-(D) voter, I expect that my candidates will be better than the average bear. That includes moral behavior.

I'm glad to see that at least one "leans right" person would have chosen someone else as well.

Good. The (D)s have theirf flaws, but sticking up for predatory assholes is not one of them. If he had been an (R) they would have circled the wagons and went after the accuser(s).
