No one uses a round number like 200 years if their goal is to be precise or accurate as you are trying to pretend @ThatOwlWoman was doing. You would say 193 or 165 years ago or whatever you mistakenly thought it was. But to just throw out 200 or 1000 or 1million years ago is ballparking it is a long LONG time ago in a generic way. It is very normal to not google the exact year and just say hundreds of years ago, 1000 years ago, 1 million years ago, etc.
But as i said, you cannot debate the points and so...
I'm not sure privatization and insurance are better.
Smart. I will likely put him on ignore soon as a spam bot.I put that MAGAT twit on ignore in his first week here. He's still here, I guess? What's he hand-wringing about now? The fact that I correctly stated that the southern Democrats of the pre- and post-Civil War period are now the Republikkkans of today? In my lifetime, the Southern states had leaders like George Wallace and Strom Thurmond and were solid (D) voters. Once the Civil Rights Act passed and they discovered that integration was inevitable, they switched to the Republican Party where the majority of southern voters are today. I don't know why this is so hard for MAGATs to grok. I guess it's hard to believe that your chosen party is a hotbed of racist haters.
Another amusing thing about the false claim that the KKK is composed of (D) voters -- how can that be when for years Trump and the MAGATs have accused Democratsof pandering to minorities and marginalized groups like the LGBTQ community, promoting DEI in the workplace and in the government, being "WOKE," and otherwise engaging in "Identity politics"? How does that jibe with being racist?
MAGATs are not logical.
Name something that government does better and cheaper than the private sector.
Only because we don't have a private military to compare that to. Not a valid example. The U.S. Military.
She said ironically.
A government 'for and of the people' can do the following better and cheaper than the private sector :Name something that government does better and cheaper than the private sector.
That was easy...A government 'for and of the people' can do the following better and cheaper than the private sector :
- Roads
- Military
- Policing, Fire, Coast Guard, Border security
- Electrical grid
- Water management and provisioning
- Taxation and Wealth redistribution (necessary when a gov't provides the above)
- Social Safety net (again necessary when gov't provides above)
- public transit
- Disaster management
- Ports, air traffic control and waterways
- Courts
- Prisons
- elections
- Public Health initiatives
- food safety, water
- weather monitoring, forecasting
- Resource management (fisheries, parks, wildlife, etc)
- Currency
- central banking
- Regulations (Financial, Consumer protection, Bankruptcy, etc)
- Postal services
Private militaries have been tried world wide and they fail as their interests are the 'owners interests' primarily and not the nations which is inherent to them being privately owned.Only because we don't have a private military to compare that to. Not a valid example.

It is like arguing a warlords well run private militia or police force in a third world country is better than one empowered by a gov't 'for and of the people'. the private one may be efficient as hell as they enforce the Warlords will and stated laws, but they are not the 'peoples' and such that comparison fails.
He is clearly talking about the US military and private military. Where is there a private military in the US? There is nothing to compare it to. Though my bet would be on the US military 100%.Private militaries have been tried world wide and they fail as their interests are the 'owners interests' primarily and not the nations which is inherent to them being privately owned.

the private sector lies about medicine and eschews medical truth and profits hugely off the government.Name something that government does better and cheaper than the private sector.
yes. but where is the loyalty of private armies. He is clearly talking about the US military and private military. Where is there a private military in the US? There is nothing to compare it to. Though my bet would be on the US military 100%.
And your overseas private military example falls apart with the question. Who runs a better, more efficient Military? Government or private? Many private armies that have overwhelmed government armies in 3rd world countries answers that question.

I could go through the rest, but it's the same thing. Private entities doing the same thing do it better and cheaper than the government.- Disaster management

Halliburton is a construction company including things like oil fields.Word: Halliburton.
WRONG. physically building the road while important is not the core of what government does with regards to roads. Planning the routes that connect the roads and how they move thru communities and connect communities, cities and States, is the most important part and gov't manages that and they do so BETTER than the private sectorNope. The private sector builds roads. The government might order them, but the private sector builds them.
WRONG. History is full of private armies controlled and run by warlords, gangs, etc and they do what a private army does which is serve the one paying them, first and foremost, over the broader society. the exact outcome you would expect from a private army owned by a person or a corporation. As I pointed out to the Foul Owl, there is no private army to compare this to so we really don't know.
WRONG and cite that. And cite for whose interests they serve. Do they outperform when it comes to helping the poor person down the street who does not pay them or are you saying thee do a better job for those paying them? As "society" is not benefitting from a select group getting better service.Private security, fire, etc., often outperform the government both in efficiency and cost.
WRONG. See above. Who is contracted to build it is the least important part of it. Who plans it, regulates and ultimately exerts control over it is what matters when it comes to meeting the needs of broader society and not just an elite few. Most of that is private and all of it was built by private companies, even if it is partially controlled by government.
WRONG. See my above post.As with electricity.
WRONG. When society provides all the benefits i cite above and certain people leverage it to build wealth then taxation and wealth distribution is necessary. They cannot get a free ride and use all those benefits and not pay a portion of the gains. There is a reason the more stable a country is, the stronger its army, the better its infrastructure, the more businesses want to operate there. We don't need wealth redistribution and taxation is questionable in efficiency.
WRONG. But cite to WHOM they provide "better service"? Are you talking to only the people who can pay them or the multitudes who cannot?Private agencies and such often provide better services at lower cost than the government.
Cite? Are you referring to closed systems only servicing certain paying clientele or does the broader society also get service at rates they can afford? It is easy to make a profitable Postal Service but just scrapping all unprofitable or lower profit routes but that defeats the point and is NOT a better service. Being profitable at the expense of service is not the goal and is a worse outcome.Where privately operated public transit has existed, it ran at a profit rather than a massive loss.
No reason to as you have not got one right yet. But if you do, try and get at least one correct.I could go through the rest, but it's the same thing.
WRONG.Private entities doing the same thing do it better and cheaper than the government.
you people would shit yourselves without your government contracts guaranteeing your cartels, so stfu with your nonsense.Halliburton is a construction company including things like oil fields.
