Is that the clear stuff? My Brother in Corpus got a Tesla, paid $2k extra for red, two days after delivery it got $6k of damage from gravel from a dump truck. After it is fixed he is going to put a clear wrap on it because Tesla paint is shit.

Some lady driving by, too close to my car, took my door off driving by. Because of the age of the vehicle, my insurance totalled it. It was a Mercedes CLS-550 with a 5 liter engine, manual shifters both on the floor and paddle shifters on the steering column. It had seat warmers, seat coolers, adaptive cruise - I FUCKING LOVED this vehicle. Still mourning her.
So then I had to buy another vehicle and this is what I got:
It's a 2024 Mazda3, "Carbon Edition" full-time AWD. It's polymetal gray, with a red leather interior. It gets much better milage than my Mercedes and my auto insurance decreased $400 a year, due to the delta in safety ratings.
Now I have a gas card - so my company pays for my gas. Not a bad deal!

They are also unbeatable as driver's cars. They out handle anything else. They will run circles around a Porsche. The only advantage the Porsche has is it's likely a bit faster in a straight line.
And, yes, Chapman's design philosophy was "Add lightness." Even getting in one is to 'wear the car.'
Everyday driver's Lotus' are not.
And that's the difference. A 911 can be driven every day.
But a lotus is a fun toy.
Don't hold your breath. Mine isn't built to 60's specs. It is well upgraded (frame, susp, rear end, rack steer, etc.) with over 500 HP.
