The United States showed their hand to the Iranian people with how the Trump Administration turned Venezuela into a vassal state and has begun to plunder their natural resources.Prior to this war beginning, one could “credibly” assert that the United States would launch this war “to help the Iranian people”. But misstep after misstep has proven otherwise.Now, with economic warfare being waged relentlessly on the innocent Iranian civilians, you have to ask the question:What is their alternative besides enduring the suffering imposed by the United States? They no longer live under the illusion that their lives will be transformed for the better if the current government is toppled. They no longer believe the United States is waging their war to help them.They either endure, or watch the United States erase the Persian culture.And they will not let that happen.

The Iranian drone strikes in Egypt yesterday sent a very clear signal to Washington:We control this war now. And we can hit you whenever and wherever we want.One of the factors Iran is trying to take away from Trump now is the ability to start and stop this conflict when it suits him. This is the end game of escalation dominance.The United States can certainly strike Iran and conduct military operations at will, but the concept of escalation dominance held by Iran since the start of this war is probably the strongest it’s ever been.Through proxy targeting of Aramco facilities in Saudi Arabia, the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, strikes on Gulf desalination and energy, and now the ability and WILLINGNESS to strike first, the Iranians are able to choice how this conflict now plays out.This is particularly dangerous because Iran also controls when this war ends. President Trump, without question, wants this war done as soon as possible. This was never intended to run for 6 months, nor put the global economy at great risk. When Iran decides to take a deal, Trump will begrudgingly oblige. When Iran decides to keep the status quo of dueling blockades, Trump knows that escalation is foolish. And when Iran decides they want to flex their power or turn up the dial on the global economy, Trump will have no ability to stop them.Iran may be taking punches, but this fight is already over.

It truly cannot be overstated how dangerous a time this is for the world.Rational thinking, strategy, risk/reward… these are not terms applicable to the Trump Administration, and particularly not during the Iran War.Many people want to look at this rationally. They believe that Trump will cry uncle because time favors Iran. They believe he will surrender because we don’t have sufficient munitions. That he will cut a deal because Iran has escalation dominance. That he fears more Americans being killed in a war the public overwhelmingly despises.These are all WONDERFUL points… to a rational actor.But here’s the dangerous question I would pose:What on EARTH makes you believe Trump is operating in the realm of reality right now?

Iran is using hypersonic missiles that the West cannot defend against. Even if our troops avoid shrapnel, they still get hit by the violent detonation shockwave. Trump said they have a headache but over 500 have a traumatic brain injury that ruined their life and prevents them from returning to service.

This too is bullshit. The only "hypersonic" missiles Iran has are ballistic missiles, and those are proving to have a poor success rate.

The US is hiding the number of troops with brain injuries. There's nowhere for them to hide from a violent shockwave. You will continue to deny what's going on long after it's exposed by Faux News.
