In the 1920's or 1930's, you were required to either have a law degree, an accounting degree, or some sort of speciality for a specific job. The degree that was preferred was a law degree. There were exceptions, Elliot Ness was an exception, but everyone had at least a bachelors degree, which at the time was rare.Actually it used to require a college degree, and a law or law enforcement degree was preferred. That requirement went out the window months ago.
