Question for you:
Assuming a cell DOES somehow form from some unknown series of random events, what is it going to eat? It must eat to divide into two cells.
It cannot consume energy directly without complex structures.

Assuming TWO cells somehow form this way, and one eats the other. Now it has enough energy to divide into two cells, so you are stuck with just two cells again.
