Moral relativism

I gave it in the original post.

This is the original post:

What are the objections? Why should all morals be true every time in history and around the world?

I don't see any examples of your own position. Do you?

You should have told me you did not understand it and I would have helped you.

If I didn't understand, I would've said that. I didn't say that.

This is what I said:

Can you be more specific? Maybe cite some original sources?

But you just refuted that in deciding it is moral to lie sometimes.
Objective morality doesn't mean there is only one rule to follow blindly. It just means the rules aren't made up by society, by opinion, government edict, or by whim.

Lying is always wrong. But if a lie prevents a monstrous harm to other humans it is justified morally. Consequences always have to be taken into account.

Moral relativism are the rules made up by cultural convention, by society, by opinion. Some societies felt human sacrifice, genocide, liquidating the disabled and mentally retarded was justified and a major benefit to society.

You seem profoundly stupid. And everyone knows you are a troll. So, fuck off.

But you said that YOU decide which moral rule to follow by each situation.

This is a contradiction, no? If lying is always wrong then it is never right to lie. But you said it is "justified."

Telling a white lie to prevent monstrous harm to other humans is objectively the right thing to do.

Not everyone thought that.

Fascists, rightwing nationalists, Vichy French in Europe thought collaboration with Nazis was justified and they would help Nazis find Jews, because by the subjective standards of their society/peers their nation would benefit.

But you said that YOU decide which moral rule to follow by each situation.
Objective morality doesn't say there is only one right way to follow a rule. Only Kant said that.

All objective morality says is that there are universal eternal laws which are not subject to opinion, cultural convention, government edict.
