Before the plug is pulled it could infect every computer system that controls banking and infrastructure.

I'm sorry, but that property you thought you owned, the records now show it is owned by an offshore company owned by an AI that also stole all the money from your bank. You just killed the AI but you don't get your property or your money back because there is no digital record of you ever having it.

Take your "paper receipt" down to your county recorder and tell them it proves you own a piece of property that their records say are owned by someone else.
