For Populist Democrats, a Movement Fueled by Anger at Both Parties
A generation shaped by the pandemic and rising prices has helped drive an emergence of Democratic candidates who say they are as fed up as voters are.www.nytimes.com
goodnight clown
YOu apparently did, so why blame others? So you think it was wise for someone with dementia that didn't know what year it was to be the nominee, essentially handing the election to trump on a silver platter?
Nobody gives a fuck if they are angry. If they actually work for America and Americans than bring them on. Nobody will give a shit what you call yourself if you can work for America and Americans. The problem is the power that has been accumulated at the level of federal govt makes it really tempting to do just what the current parties are doing, looking out for their interests and not those of the people they representA Montana wilderness firefighter, an Ohio ironworker and a lawyer who worked as a barista in Colorado while pursuing a Ph.D. would appear to have little in common. But all three represent a profusion in the midterm elections of anti-establishment populist Democrats who share, or at least seek to channel, the welling vexations of the American electorate.
They are young, or youngish. They are angry. They are fed up with the Democratic establishment. Two won primaries for House seats in red districts they hope to flip, and the third beat a longtime Democratic incumbent in a deep blue district. All are new to politics, which they consider a virtue.
