That is different than what I said, I suspect everyone is elite in one way or another, not all people see their gift or use it to its maximum.

Fair enough. Yes, you can make the argument that every person has something elite about them.

But that's not how you were using the term when starting this thread, or how we generally use the word itself especially politically.

Liberals and conservatives both use the term 'elites'. You could have started the thread with the question where is there overlap and where is there difference in how they each use it.
