There are a few things in life we can count on, water will be wet, fire will be hot, and CNN will faithfully serve the interests of the democrat party.
CNN has long been owned by Warner Bros. - Discovery. The "merger" of Warner Brothers by Discovery pushed the WB network hard to the left. Now WB-Discovery is subject to the same sort of "merger" by Paramount. Paramount - Skydance is effectively acquiring the WB.
This has caused panic on the left for several reasons. Paramount is parent to CBS. CBS recently moved it's news division closer to the center under the guidance of Bari Weiss. What will this mean for the mouthpiece of the democrat party that is CNN?
Paramount chairman and CEO David Ellison cozied up to Taylor Sheridan and brought a plethora of hit shows to the network, including "Yellowstone" and most recently, "Lioness," among a host of others. What is telling of these shows is not just the overwhelming success, but also the tone that is decidedly center-right. For decades television has aired dramas that present the left as good, if sometime naive, and the right as overtly evil. The Sheridan shows break this mold and especially in the case of "Lioness" savage sacred cows of the left such as U.S. Aid and involvement in Ukraine and military action in Iran.
Analysts predict that under Ellison, up to 60% of CNN staff and personalities will be replaced or cut outright. The push will be away from cheerleading for the DNC and savaging Trump to factual reporting.
Reporting facts rather than propaganda is a paradigm shift for CNN that the left is unprepared for. The reactions of "content" providers has been extreme.
