ICE injures an American then runs away.

According to your chart, he got $1.4 billion from his father. Starting at age 3, trump got paid $200k a year "salary." They were quite generous with him.

I got a total of $1k in inheritance from my family. I sometimes had jobs with my extended family, but usually transitioned to other jobs because my family did not pay well. My family did not pay for my college, but an uncle was willing to give me loans at 26.8% APR. I have built quite a bit from that humble background...

Or was it humble background? My family taught me the importance of education, hard work, and responsibility. We would all be much better off had trump learned the same.
Well, no, Wrong Way Wally.

Here’s what the chart shows:

President Trump’s father died in 1990, a few years after Trump was already worth about 1.7 billion.

You appear to have a problem with wealthy people. What does it matter if it is generational wealth or not? It still is spendable.

I have a feeling that you have never been wealthy and do not understand how wealth is accumulated. If given a preference, I would prefer generational wealth. It would probably mean that I was provided with a great education and would know how to pass the wealth to my children and grandchildren.

Why do you hate wealthy people, WWW? Are you envious?

President Trump’s father died in 1990
That is a cold hard statement of "fact", that you are basing your entire argument on. If it is true, you have a point. If it is false, your whole argument falls apart. And the important thing to remember is that death dates are almost always public.

Frederick Christ Trump died on June 25, 1999. That is 9 years after 1990. That is just a proven fact.

What does it matter if it is generational wealth or not?
trump has increased his family money at less than the S&P 500 returns, with a lot of defaults. Had trump put his family money in an indexed fund, he would be richer, and the investors and lenders he has defaulted on would be much richer.

trump is a below average businessman. That is just a fact.

If given a preference, I would prefer generational wealth.
This is a question that hangs heavily on me. Obviously, I want to setup my children for life, but I see so many families lose their money in a few years. And then you have people with no money and no skills.

What I am trying to do is get children who can live without my money. The generational wealth that sticks is the generational wealth that teaches skills not just gives money.

So given a choice, I would prefer teaching children the skills to be at least in the upper middle class.

It appears that the reality is that Wrong Way Wally has never been wealthy and it is likely that he never will be.
Maybe it is just the people around here, but usually wealthy people do not say they are wealthy. They keep it a little quieter.

Correct, it was 1999, Wrong Way Wally, which means that President Trump had a net worth of 1.7 billion more than a decade before his father died.

He did not have to depend on his inheritance from his father to become a billionaire.

I still don’t know why you hate wealthy people, WWW. That’s mean, WWW.

It’s a bit silly to say that a person with a net worth approaching 7 billion dollars is not a good businessman, Wrong Way Walter.

Didn't you claim to know how to avoid inher.

Didn't you claim to know how to avoid inheritance taxes?
The father died in 1999, WWW. You were right about the date but nothing else.

You said Trump inherited his wealth but his net worth was 1.7 billion more than a decade before his father died.

The forum is slowing again…for several hours now.

That is exactly what it is.

Go learn what 'fact' means, Wally. A 'fact' does not mean 'proof'.
Nothing about the date changes anything in his argument or makes it 'fall apart'.
Strawman fallacy.
trump has increased his family money at less than the S&P 500 returns, with a lot of defaults.
False. Real estate development makes more money than the S&P 500.

Had trump put his family money in an indexed fund, he would be richer, and the investors and lenders he has defaulted on would be much richer.
Trump invests in real estate as a real estate developer. He makes far more money doing that, Wally.
trump is a below average businessman. That is just a fact.
Go learn what 'fact' means. 'Fact' does not mean 'Universal Truth'.
Trump is currently worth $7.3 billion. He is a successful real estate developer AND he was elected twice as President of the United States.

And your accomplishments, Wally? Sitting on a forum griping about how 'bad a businessman trump is'. You're a nothing, Wally, and you know it.
This is a question that hangs heavily on me. Obviously, I want to setup my children for life, but I see so many families lose their money in a few years. And then you have people with no money and no skills.
Like you.
What I am trying to do is get children who can live without my money.
Send 'em to the poorhouse! How compassionate.
The generational wealth that sticks is the generational wealth that teaches skills not just gives money.
You don't have any significant skills, Wally.
Trump has quite a lot of them.
And you know it.

So given a choice, I would prefer teaching children the skills to be at least in the upper middle class.
You cannot teach what you do not know.
Maybe it is just the people around here, but usually wealthy people do not say they are wealthy. They keep it a little quieter.
Irrelevance fallacy.

Illiteracy: Failure to capitalize proper nouns. Use of buzzwords. Use of period instead of comma.

False. Real estate development makes more money than the S&P 500.
Real estate development is highly variable, so might make more money, or might not. trump has made worse returns than the S&P 500, which makes him a below average businessman.

Worse yet, he has taken in a lot of money in investment and loans which he lost completely. He failed to pay his bills to contractors. He destroyed a lot of people along the way to his subpar business.

The world would be a better place had he just taken his family money and put it in an indexed fund.

Send 'em to the poorhouse!
No, send them to college.

You don't have any significant skills, Wally.
Society disagrees with you, but your free to have your opinion.

You cannot teach what you do not know.
When it comes to money and career management, it is surprisingly difficult to teach what you do know.

Real estate development is highly variable,
It generally makes quite a lot of money, Wally.

Trump is a successful real estate developer, making far more money then the S&P 500.
Worse yet, he has taken in a lot of money in investment and loans which he lost completely.
Trump has not filed bankruptcy on any loan.
He failed to pay his bills to contractors.
Only those that failed to do their work.
He destroyed a lot of people along the way to his subpar business.
He destroyed no one, Wally.
The world would be a better place had he just taken his family money and put it in an indexed fund.
Why? Because you can't stand how wealthy someone is?
No, send them to college.
You just nullified your own argument, Wally. You aren't paying for them, remember?
Society disagrees with you, but your free to have your opinion.
You don't get to speak for everyone, Wally. Omniscience fallacy.

Wally, you and Trump love to brag about how successful you are. Why is that?

It generally makes quite a lot of money, Wally.
Real estate used to be almost the only type of wealth there was. Now there are billionaire who do not own any real estate. Over the long term, real estate has underperformed.

And there is a roof to how well real estate can do. People can pay 10% or 20% of their income to have a home, but it is difficult for them to pay 50%, and impossible for them to pay over 100% for even a medium period of time.

Not to mention that trump has shown himself able to fail in industries that are very profitable. Somehow he was able to mismanage his casinos.

Trump is a successful real estate developer, making far more money then the S&P 500.
The S&P 500 has a market cap of almost $75 trillion, so that would be very successful indeed.

Trump has not filed bankruptcy on any loan.
trump is the master of the disasterunity. his companies declare bankruptcy and he walks away with a pile of cash. It has become common for lenders and investors to offer debt forgiveness just to get anything back from him.

You just nullified your own argument, Wally. You aren't paying for them, remember?
Actually, I said I was not supporting them for life. I am very willing to pay for them to learn, and even invest in their schemes.

You don't get to speak for everyone, Wally. Omniscience fallacy.
Whether right or wrong the market speaks for the consensus of our society.

Wally, you and Trump love to brag about how successful you are. Why is that?
trump makes outrageous claims. I just say I could retire early.

Wrong Way Wally-“Society disagrees with you, but ***your***free to have your opinion.” (Asterisks are mine)

WWW, did you complete high school?

Did you sleep through contractions class?

My opinion is that Into the Night is right…”And your accomplishments, Wally? Sitting on a forum griping about how 'bad a businessman trump is'. You're a nothing, Wally, and you know it.”

I do not believe that Uber Eats drivers accumulate much wealth…even if they eat some of the food…to save money.

You drive a Yaris, that says it all.
