Moral relativism

"Finding" an immoral act to be moral doesn't make it moral.
Declaring a moral act to be immoral doesn't make it immoral.

It is still adults hitting children with boards.
It is still optimal behavior modification where it is optimal behavior modification.

It's odd that you are debating the morality of adults hitting children with boards, but here we are....
So, your official position is that you find it odd that I am discussing moral relativism in a thread titled "Moral relativism" while you declare that you think something that is morally relative is actually morally absolute, yes?

This insight then leads to a worthy scientific project of studying the many moralities that exist in the real world.

How is it oversimplified? Corporal punishment has consistently been linked to aggression toward others, low self-esteem, depression, criminal behavior later in life and anti-social behavior in geneal,
Attempted proof by subjective. Omniscience fallacy.
not to mention that it's, again, ADULTS hitting CHILDREN with boards and exposing them to incredible pain and public humiliation.
Why does getting hit by a board expose one to public humliation?

Does that sound moral?
Depends on who you ask.

And none of them would have wanted to be a slave. This is akin to the trans bullshit. You don't become a woman because you feel like one and slavery doesn't become moral because some people think it's ok.
The Founding Fathers didn't like slavery, and that came up, but they couldn't do away with it at that time because it was an institution beyond their control.
