ICE injures an American then runs away.

I don't even bother with a watch anymore. There is really no need for one. Phones and cars have a clock in them, and it's not too difficult to find a clock anywhere you want to look. The phone clock is tied to WWV, giving the most accurate time. Just looking at where the Sun is in the sky works pretty well too.

Telling time is ancillary. The watch monitors heart rate, steps taken, sleep patterns. AND provides text messages, has access to Alexa to control my lights and cameras remotely. The time aspect is the least of it. I even have a guitar tuner on it.

Virtue signaling is the most important thing in the world among leftists.
It's actually the key to making simple people trust you.

If you watch MSM broadcasts or leftist hate-pages on social media you'll notice a constant stream of two things:
  1. fluff pieces that make your heart feel all warm and cozy
  2. the faces and backstories of people who were harmed by "the crime of the day"
You can turn well-intentioned people into cultists just by massaging their limbic systems with a few elbows on pressure points followed by some happy endings, and the fluff stories are the key to gaining the trust required to get them access to those pressure points.

"Awwww, look at these swell bunch of guys. This is a national news broadcast where commercials cost tens of thousands of dollars per minute, yet they're taking the time to show us somebody helping ducklings to get over the curb... My heart is so full of love right now..."

The trust is gained by the fluff, then when a crisis moment comes, the leftist MSM members slather false narratives on it: "never let a good crisis go to waste".

Leftist cult-leaders know that our limbic systems are the key to forming our long-term memories, and that the elevated emotions of crisis moments are some of the main triggers that cause our limbic systems to forge those long-term memories.

And here's the most important thing... Assigning a "cause" to those crisis moments, at the first instant that they are being implanted in our memories, goes a really long way towards forming our opinions.

That's why, whenever a guy named Abdul mohammed mohammed Abdul Al-mohammed yells "allahu akbar" before he kills a bunch of Jews with a van, the leftists scream "GUN CONTROL ISSUE!!!! GUN CONTROL ISSUE!!!! GUN CONTROL ISSUE!!!! It's still too early to say whether or not this was a terrorist attack! Anyone who says that this was a terrorist attack is a racist, and you need to yell that at them!!!!!!! GUN CONTROL ISSUE!!!!"

They know how important it is to tie in "GUN CONTROL!!!!!!!" with that crisis moment, and to completely disassociate it from islamic violence.

If people put the pieces together later, after the iron is no longer hot, it doesn't have the same impact. There's no weld.

And people will always relate to an emotional story with the same emotional connections that they felt when it was initially exposed to them.

The weirdest part of all this is how important pictures of faces and people's backstories are. There's a good reason why leftists don't want you to hear the names of the kids who were shot by the BLM police in their Seattle Autonomous Zone, they don't show their faces, and they don't want you to know if their teachers thought that they were gentle giants. Because it implants that story more firmly into the minds of their sheeple, and they don't want those kids in people's minds, they just want them quickly put into holes in the ground.

AJ+ (Al Jazeera) is a perfect example of a leftist hate page. Back when islamic state was the size of a large country, and they were burning women to death in cages, AJ+ would post some fluff pieces about fuzzy bunnies, followed by the highly detailed story of a perfectly innocent black woman with a pretty face and a name and a poignant backstory who was killed by white people in America one day in 1786, but they wouldn't even say one word about the genocide by "Daesh" in the ME. And AJ was constantly telling the story of a muslim girl in India that was raped and killed by 4 Hindu men at that time. They talked about her constantly for months. If you followed AJ+ for a month you would honestly be left with the impression that there were fuzzy bunnies everywhere, there was a genocide against blacks in the US, muslim girls in India were being gang-raped and murdered all the time, while nothing was really happening in Levant.

And there's a reason why the MSM here all said "Isis" and then "Daesh" instead of islamic state... They didn't want the name "islamic state" to be associated with all of the islamic state burnings, hatred and slaughter. Their narrative says "Daesh is un-islamic".

Leftists have no idea the extent to which they are all being controlled. They are oblivious, and simple.

One last thing... the story on CNN of "6 People Killed and 46 Injured in a Car Crash in Waukesha" was a masterclass in media manipulation. If that was a white guy running over muslims praying on the street it wouldn't have been called a "car crash", the faces and backstories of the victims would have been overwhelming, the fact that it was his second vehicle attack in 3 months wouldn't have been omitted, the man's ties to a conservative group like BLM wouldn't have been ignored, they would have called it terrorism, etc, etc, etc.

To this day, the receptionist doesn’t understand that the point is that he took his wife to a yacht club and did not take her out to eat.

It’s akin to taking your wife to the Waldorf Astoria and cooking canned soup on a hot plate.

He’s cheap, along with being dense and inarticulate to the point of illiteracy.

Why would a yacht club allow Jeri in?

Heh. Quite the gadget. Worthy of Japanese gadgetry!

Of course, the Japanese got Alexa late. It took the poor thing about four years to handle the Japanese language. It was awful during that training period! Amazon gave it a significant dictionary, but the rest it had to learn on it's own and it often didn't understand the command. It took awhile to build skills in Japanese for it as well.

So your Alexa service in your 'watch' is truly US gadgetry, but the Japanese would love it.

The guitar tuner is particularly a gadget feature. Do you use it for tuning a guitar?

NFL football and the last day of the regular MLB season today.

All MLB games will start at 3PM Eastern except in the NE where the weather may cause games to be played on Mon.

Por Dios, what will we do when MLB ends?

Galaxy is Samsung, Korean. It's their answer to the Apple iWatch. Designed entirely for American and European consumers.

Rarely. It works fine, but every amp I have has a built in tuner. So do the Martin, Takamine, and Ovation on the acoustic side. I have an old Marshall 12 string acoustic that I have tuned with it, but the phone is more accurate. (G-Strings)

@Rusty Bell 65
The more I think about it, the more I realize I would rather have a real Seiko 5, than a replica Rolex. I want no part of replica anything.

Actually, I do. I have enough money to pay for two kids to go to college, graduate school, and get setup in life, AND to retire. It is the most amount of money I have ever had going out, so I am a bit worried.

I think it is a mistake to try to keep up appearances with a fancy looking car, but I get it. Trying to keep up appearances through eggs is just weird. No one cares if someone else eats eggs from a cheap, convenient place.

There is an argument for free range eggs, or omega-3 eggs, but I am betting you don't get them.

It is just sad.

You are obsessed with Jarod eating eggs from somewhere not expensive. It is weird.

Walt, not mentioning you cannot quote, but you couldn't afford a fake Rolex., much less a replica Shelby.

Makes a nice combo gadget for ya then! Enjoy it!

They aren't vaccines and don't work like vaccines.
They are vaccines, because they work like vaccines.

Yet the ones dying from Covid are you anti-science fucktards. Imagine that...
The PhD's in science are "anti-science", and the high school dropouts are the new experts in science? Really?

There is a reason that one of the few groups in the world losing life expectancy are trumpers... Can you guess what that reason is?

They are vaccines, because they work like vaccines.

Try again Never Truthful Walt.

Real vaccines are immunological, not political. You have obediently taken you virtue signal shots. It publicly demonstrates your obedience and loyalty to the pary.

The PhD's in science are "anti-science", and the high school dropouts are the new experts in science? Really?

The only ones I see who are anti-science are you Marxist morons.

We were all supposed to die, remember? You of the left demanded that we who declined the farce would not only die, but that we endangered you who took the shot, and 10 to 15 "boosters".

You're not aware of this, but real vaccines protect the vaccinated. I'm immunized against polio, so even though you imported 40 million third world dregs to vote democrat, who are not vaccinated, I'm still protected. That's how actual vaccines work.

There is a reason that one of the few groups in the world losing life expectancy are trumpers... Can you guess what that reason is?

How desperately you wish there were even a hint of truth to that. How you dream of Soviet style death camps for all enemies of the party.

But then, more who have taken the Not-A-Vaccine die FROM COVID related complications each year than those who declined the virtue signal.

Were you aware the real vaccines actually keep people from contracting diseases? The Mumps vaccine KEEPS YOU FROM GETTING MUMPS. I know, it's a wild concept. But hey, you showed the you obey the party blindly - and that's what's important. Uber Alles democrat.

I think you just explained why Democrats are going to keep losing and losing and losing.

Kirk was speaking at university campuses you God-damned liar,
And staying at frats, guzzling beer, and sleeping with teenage girls... All while in his 30's.

Oh, and I have a really nice Seiko watch - it sits in a drawer - because a Galaxy Smartwatch is VASTLY more useful.
I am more than willing to pay the Apple tax and buy an Apple watch, and then wear two watches. One is a wearable computer, the other is a piece of jewelry, which happens to tell the time.

Mechanical watches are silly. You can spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on a watch that tells time 100 times worse than a quartz watch. That being said, it is tough for a guy to wear much jewelry, and mechanical mix jewelry with cool antique tech.

If you do not want a mechanical watch, do not get one.

Oddly though, you still demand that we pay for your medical insurance..
My employer pays for my health insurance, though honestly it is getting to the point where it would be easier to do it myself. I would love if you guys paid for your own health insurance.

@Walt wants to impress
Watches rarely impress people. I still like them.

You still obsess with eggs, sad.
Why do I have an image of them buying eggs at the cheapest place, to switch into egg containers from a more costly place in the car, in order to impress their neighbors. They are the type that pour boxed wine into a bottle.

Phones and cars have a clock in them
Phones act as pocket watches. Bad news, you are back at watches.

Just looking at where the Sun is in the sky works pretty well too.
Clearly Night does not have a job.

It’s akin to taking your wife to the Waldorf Astoria and cooking canned soup on a hot plate.
I stayed in the Waldorf Astoria. NYC. They had a very nice kitchenette/kitchen(halfway between) in my suite. I used the fridge to store Chinese leftovers, and the microwave to heat them up. Next time I am there, I will make some scrambled eggs just to annoy you.

I never ate at their restaurants, but would like to eat at their new Japanese restaurant next time I stay there. I don't even think I got room service.

but you couldn't afford a fake Rolex
Seriously, replica Rolexes are so cheap anyone can afford them. I have seen them on the streets of NYC for $20, but could probably haggle them down below that. They are online for $50 to $200.

I saw a fake IWC Two Moon Grande Complication that was at first beautiful to look at, but when I picked it up I immediately noticed it was much lighter in weight, and most of the dials were not hooked up to anything. I do not know the price exactly, but it was probably somewhere around $100.

I am still amazed anyone bothered to make a fake IWC Two Moon. It is an obscure watch.

So, Wrong Way Wally, you are cheap too.

I do not believe that you stayed at the Waldorf in any city, WWW.
