Do the humanities need a rebrand?

So you made millions for Exxon in 20 months.
Unlike the dental hygienist profession, oil exploration and production at a multinational integrated petroleum corporation involves vast amounts of $$$. Exxon is not even going to bother drilling a well unless high rewards outweigh high risks.

The Exxon production office was constantly drilling wells in it's offshore jurisdiction. I don't remember a week going by when at least two or three rigs were actively drilling.

I had two prospects drilled in the West Delta 73 field, with multiple stacked pay sands anticipated and drilled. It seems to make you angry that I helped make a capitalist company million of dollars while you were sniffing people's bad breath as you cleaned their teeth.

You claim you wanted to experience the culture of NOLA “for a few years”.
1998 to 2000.
23 months now that I do the math in my head a quarter century later.

With such a stellar record and with the myriad of opportunities in NOLA you could’ve easily gone to work for another oil company and stayed.
I wanted to work for Exxon. As far as I was concerned, they had the best careers in the petroleum exploration profession.

My wife was from Houston, and I wasn't going to begrudge her the opportunity to move back.
So these are the possibilities:
1. IF you were in NO you fucked up and they kicked you out.
When Exxon and Mobil merged, many people were laid off as part of the corporate restructuring. I wasn't one of them.
2. Exxon fucked up by sending you to an area that had already dried up.
The Nigeria deepwater exploration unit was at the cutting edge of petroleum exploration in one of the most prolific oil producing regions in the world. It was a high visibility place to work in ExxonMobil Exploration Company.
3. You never lived in NO.

Your story doesn’t add up!
It doesn't add up for you because after three years of lurking me you had concocted some assumptions and guesses about what you wished my life was like, and you're experiencing cognitive dissonance that the facts are incongruent with your fantasies.

Non-sequitur fallacy.

While Exxon drills wells, most oil is from thousands of individuals that own oil wells.
You never worked for an oil company.

You never worked for any oil company.

Math errors is not gonna work, Cyborg.

Wanting to isn't working for them. You aren't qualified.
My wife was from Houston, and I wasn't going to begrudge her the opportunity to move back.
You seem to not know your way around any of that area.
When Exxon and Mobil merged, many people were laid off as part of the corporate restructuring. I wasn't one of them.
Because you didn't work for either of them.
The Nigeria deepwater exploration unit was at the cutting edge of petroleum exploration in one of the most prolific oil producing regions in the world. It was a high visibility place to work in ExxonMobil Exploration Company.
You were never in Nigeria.either.

Your fantasies.

Unlike oil companies my two hygienists made money for me. I didn’t make money for them. You were used. But that’s how it works for those that don’t have the initiative and drive to be a business owner.
It seems to make you angry
You seem jealous
that I helped make a capitalist company million of dollars
Helped??! You said you did it.
I made millions of dollars for Exxon
Another inconsistency.
My wife was from Houston, and I wasn't going to begrudge her the opportunity to move back.
Yet you do it now living in CA.
So she hated NOLA.
So many inconsistencies.

California coast is better than NOLA or Houston and my wife agrees now.

You've shown more interest in the minutia of my career and work experiences than any girlfriend or buddy I've ever had did.

Is it common for you to become obsessed with the personal life experiences of strangers? Because even your kids, friends, and siblings will tell you that's fucking weird.

He's saying your claims aren't adding up, and I have a cousin that does what it is you were claiming to do.
Revisits oil and gas wells and tests them as prospective drilling sites.

Not really. I’ve caught you in multiple lies and that forced you to backpedal trying to cover them.

I couldn’t care less about your personal life. You keep bringing it up.

I hope you’re living in Carmel.
You've shown more interest in the minutia of my career and work experiences than any girlfriend or buddy I've ever had did.
You’re who brought out all that nonsense. I just pointed out the numerous inconsistencies in your story.
Is it common for you to become obsessed with the personal life experiences of strangers?
See above^

All I did was point out that anything that one gets in a liberal arts degree can be learned for free from getting and studying books from a good library and used language learning as an example. Then you went off on your tangents full of inconsistencies and lies.
And it’s easy to know when you’re lying - I just ask a simple question that requires nothing more than a yes or no answer and you don’t answer.

Not really. I’ve caught you in multiple lies and that forced you to backpedal trying to cover them.
Every accusation you've made has blown up in your face, Mr. "All the oil companies completely bugged out of NOLA in the 1980s!" LOL
I couldn’t care less about your personal life.
You're obsessed with my life and keep diverting threads to write about it, stalker.

I would barely notice you are here if you weren't relentlessly reading my posts and composing responses to them, Lol

That statement is so nebulous and ambiguous as to be meaningless. It completely lacks any relevant detail or context.

We explored for oil and gas using 3-D seismic imaging data, gravity and magnetic surveys, and geophysical well log data.

That's nice, honey. So kind of like a fish-finder, huh? I never asked what tools and all are involved.
A quick synopsis of why they're going all over the world was enough for me before Christmas dinner, ya know? :dunno:
