Do the humanities need a rebrand?

My cousin got a degree in Russian, and I checked her university's degree requirement which not only include advanced training in Russian language and grammar, but also significant coursework in Russian and Soviet literature, culture, cinema, poetry, politics, and history.

Only a dental hygienist would imagine he has the equivalent of a German degree because he can make inconsequential small talk with the bartender in a Berlin hofbräu.
Hilarious! You STILL think you are educated. You STILL think that 'prestige' means 'education'. You STILL think that 'language' means 'degree'. NOW you think a dental hygienist is a bartender!

How clueless you are. You should probably go study English.

So you think one needs a degree in ‘German’ to discuss politics and exchange jokes with friends and family in Germany, enjoy Bach, Mendelssohn, and Schumann symphonies at the Gewandhaus, read German language newspapers, and pass the Goethe-Institut B2-Prüfung. Now I see why you have so many “degrees”. You don’t have the common sense to read a comic book without a degree in literature or go to church without a degree in religion.
You’re one of those idiots that has to read the directions on a shampoo bottle before washing your hair .
He obviously has no degree whatsoever that's worth anything.

College graduates earn a substantial wage premium in the labor market compared to those with only a high school diploma, and this premium tends to grow over one’s career.

Argument from randU fallacy. Falsified already, Hugo. RAAA
Illiteracy: Use of plural as singular.

False authority fallacy.

You don't get a bachelor's degree in German by "enjoying" Bach, Goethe, Immanuel Kant, Wagner.

You get it by proving you are an accomplished student of Germany: its language, it's culture, its art, it's literature, philosophy, cinema, politics and history by sitting for exams and demonstrating accomplished competency in these areas.
So...by enjoying Bach, Goethe, Kant, and Wagner.

Stop making shit up, Cyborg.

I'm not taking your word sight unseen for anything. You claimed I couldn't possibly have worked in the NOLA oil industry in the 1990s because all the oil companies supposedly all completely bugged out in the 1980s.

Bottom line: the US Bureau of Labor Statistics supports and corroborates what I wrote about most dental hygienists only needing an associates degree.
You never worked for an oil company because it's obvious you don't the first thing about oil beyond putting gasoline in a car.

Alaska is less than 1% of the American population.
Strawman fallacy.
U.S. Bureau Labor Statistics
How to Become a Dental Hygienist
"Dental hygienists typically need an associate’s degree in dental hygiene"

False authority fallacy.
The US Bureau of Labor Statistics is not a State law.

Show me where I said I had the equivalent of a degree in German!
You lie a lot, fraud!
You bragged about knowing some conversational German and clearly insinuated you or any other normal person could get the equivalent of a university German degree by just going to the library.
👇
It’s a waste of time and money to go to college for that. Anything you want to learn in humanities you can get from a library for free!
You think one learns more about the culture from a book than living there for three years!

Regardless, all the stuff you mentioned about getting a German degree is nothing more than what you can obtain from a good library!
I don't need that useless degree from UC Davis or anywhere else.

You clearly insinuated a normal person could get the equivalent of a university German degree by just going to the library.
👇
You obviously don’t think it’s possible to learn the same things without a degree.
That figures from someone who can’t wash his hair without reading the directions on a shampoo bottle.
All a person has to do is be diligent in studying the same textbooks used in the curriculum.

And you bugged out after only 20 months!!
 As close to an apology as you'll get for falsely accusing of lying about working in NOLA.
That’s not very long!
Exxon and Mobil merged in late 1999, resulting in a widespread corporate restructuring and my transfer to the Nigeria exploration unit in Houston.

So now you have drastically pivoted from claiming I never lived in New Orleans, to howling that two years is not "long enough!" 🤣

So you made millions for Exxon in 20 months . You claim you wanted to experience the culture of NOLA “for a few years”. With such a stellar record and with the myriad of opportunities in NOLA you could’ve easily gone to work for another oil company and stayed.
So these are the possibilities:
1. IF you were in NO you fucked up and they kicked you out.
2. Exxon fucked up by sending you to an area that had already dried up.
3. You never lived in NO. Most likely scenario since you had to use Google Maps to show only two possible routes from Kenner to the CBD.
So now you have drastically pivoted from claiming I never lived in New Orleans, to howling that two years is not "long enough!" 🤣
Your story doesn’t add up .
