No, not true. How do you play basketball "independent of skill"? I paid no attention to the WNBA until last year. Now a fan. How's this for skill - At the All Star Game a couple of weeks ago Azzi Fudd took 27 three point shots in one minute and ten seconds and made 21 of them.

Says the chief fool of this thread. What commentary? Like the NBA it's a natural progression from the college female game which is also popular. The arenas this year are selling out for these games with male attendance equal to female attendance.
The players may or may not have skill.....but the game sucks is the argument.
An argument it seems from males who have some kind of problem with women.

I remember in the early days of the Rotten Tomato's Chat forum someone saying 'all actions movies suck and should not be made' as they argued only movies that make you 'think' and not movies where people say they 'turn off their brain', should be made.
People who think that way, just as ones who say the 'game sucks' are so incredibly arrogant and myopic that they think that only THEIR opinion matters and every one else should like what they like or they are wrong.
Different people will enjoy different things.

Are you capable of understanding that when you say a sport 'sucks' that is your SOLE SUBJECTIVE JUDGEMENT.
You may not like ballet. You may not like art. You may not like baseball or cricket or squash or soccer. And so on and so on. You may think Drama movies or Rom Coms are best and action movies are terrible...
But again i ask, are you a person capable of understanding you are only speaking for YOU. A thing does not 'suck' simply because it is not your cup of tea (you might hate tea and love coffee).
But anyway i am always surprised by people who seem to not understand that.

Decades ago, NCAA women's basketball was the only place to find the game played as it should be. No dunking, No showboating. Just team play
Except that is likely not the case. HS boys are not as disciplined in their team game as professional players. They are not as experienced. A pro women's basketball team will have played often against male players since that is how they practice. The boys may physically outmatch the women but they won't be able to mentally keep up or play 12 players of high caliber. This would be like claiming there is no way USA men's pro basketball players would ever lose to a national team from another country. We all know how that has turned out in previous years in the Olympics. A good team playing team ball can beat stronger individuals.
