20,070 dead

FWIW, 22,861 dead Americans. While the curve is flattening, as Trump said, there will be a lot of death. I haven't seen any projections yet, but if it's down to 500 a week, that's 2000 a month and about another 13,500 by Election Day....given that our nation keeps doing what it is doing now.

Keeping hope alive for the Party of the Jackass. How sad that you candidate is so pathetic that leftists have to hope many more will die in hopes of killing Trumps chances in November. It really must suck to be a leftist these days.

Which would make it less than what the flu kills each year in this country. Just pointing that out.

Correct and good if it does. OTOH, if we go back to "normal" like in February, those numbers will skyrocket well over the annual flu death rate.

Annual American deaths from flu

between 29,000 and 59,000

Annual American deaths from guns

approx. 40,000

Annual American deaths from road accidents

approx. 38,000

American corona virus deaths in ten weeks

24,000 recorded

Today is April 13. This won't continue at the same rate thoughout the year.

Chances are it is seasonal like other similar viruses. Not sure when the flu starts going away for those living in an igloo in a frozen tundra, but here in Florida, that starts happening about now.

But there’s no way to inflate gun deaths lol.

Your scenario, not mine.

Why do you claim it's my scenario? Isn't that just how this disease works?

BTW, Trump now claims it's his responsibility to open up the states or not. If true, then isn't he also responsible for any rise in deaths if he does open the states?

Let's see how long his scenario of claiming responsibility lasts.

Hello Dutch Uncle,

Agreed. Unfortunately our options are Biden, Trump...and in lieu of Trump, Pence.

Agreed also on those in political office: Anyone who wants to run isn't the person we should elect.

That's one of the things I like about Warren. She didn't want the job, had to be talked into it. Agreed, and then put her heart into it.

I don't get the comparisons to numbers of deaths from other reasons.

Does that somehow make thousands of needless deaths easier to take?

Does that somehow change the fact that if our leadership had done a better job those thousands would not have died?

Because it is your scenario. Read what you wrote. If he opens the states it is for economic reasons. Something has to pay for all this. He is walking a tightrope deciding trying to balance the odds.

I liked Warren a lot in previous years but in the last few she appears nutty to me.

Regardless, she's not an option except for those who like to write in candidates then bitch about those who vote Third Party.

You are free to blame the President, me and anyone else you like for your life's ills. It is what it is.

??????????????????????????? Is that supposed to make sense?

To you? Obviously not. To others? Time will tell.

In other words it was just typical mindless liberal drivel. That really seems to be all you have.

Awesome. You at a loss for an intellectual reply so you revert to name-calling. Dude, that reveals a lot more about you than it does about me.

The fact remains Trump made a Tweet accepting responsibility but I doubt he'll actually accept the responsibility for the body count because he's repeatedly proved himself to be a coward and a piss-poor leader.

If you were a true US Navy sailor, you'd understand, but since you obviously sail privately, I understand why you do not understand the difference.
