A unarmed college student was fatally shot by a Pennsylvania police officer

Pysher's friends spent an hour begging him at the bar to go home. They finally left the bar and drove to a house. Pysher was kicked out of the bar, and then walked two miles to what he believed was the house. He spent a while trying to break into the house.

That is an hour or two of intense anger that was not dissipating. Again, maybe he did come to his senses at some point before he died, but it seems unlikely to me. The problem here was Pysher, and at any point he could have ended the problem. He did not.

Talking or screaming? He was screaming through the door to be let into the house or he would kill his friends. He then called his friends, assumably to scream at them what he thought he had just shouted at them through the door. And when they hung up on him, he went back to screaming through the door.

What the phone conversation tells me is his friends were too scared of him to tell him that he was attacking the wrong house. If the house attack was all in good fun, they would have told him he was attacking the wrong house.

We both have major gaps in our narratives, because there are gaps in the facts. I am honest about the gaps, and honest about why I am filling in the gaps the way I am. You are being dishonest about your gap filling.

It is possible after an hour or two of manic anger, he suddenly came to his senses and stopped lashing out. It is not probable, and certainly cannot be assumed as you have. He was a very angry man, who had never faced consequences. I can tell you those sort of people can be very dangerous.

Sounds like the Trayvon Martin case.

Oh, but Trayvon had the good color of skin, so he was innocent.

Pysher be'd white. He deserved to die.

Sounds like the Trayvon Martin case.
Martin was having a good night. He was watching the all star game on the TV, and during the halftime went to get some candy at the store. He was hurrying back home, when someone started chasing him. That person ended up killing him.

Pysher was not being chased, was not trying to get home, and was not having a good night.

The courts sealed the evidence hiding what actually lead to Yarl being shot.
Yarl gave Lester no legal reason to shoot Yarl. Whatever reason was in Lester's mind, and Lester is dead now, so we will probably never know the detailed reason. The court certainly did not know.

Because @martin judges people and situations by the color of their skin, not the content of their character.

This case is identical to the Ralph Yarl case, where the left rioted and prosecuted the cop. Well, identical other than the skin color of the victims. And thus, the massive difference in reaction.
Here's my position. Would the response based on what we know now be different from the public if Pysher was black? Highly likely.

The response aside, we'd still be in the position regardless of Pysher's race waiting for the police report, camera footage and body cam.

Right we just don't know what happened between him trying to enter the house and ending up dead.

We don't know if he tried to attack an officer or if the officer completely overreacted.

White people soon be protesting, looting businesses, burning cities, trashing police cars, taking over police stations and creating mayhem in the streets.

Oh, wait...

There is a difference in the cases. In the present case the victim was aggressive, or appeared to be. He was banging on a back door and yelling to be let in. Probably he was just horsing around but it was alarming conduct for the stranger he seemed to be to those inside.
George Floyd was aggressive, Marty. It's why the cops were called to begin with. He was also a known felon.

Stop making up shit, Wally.

Rice was 12 years old, and had never committed a crime in his life. He was playing with a toy gun, and police shot him in the back with no warning. The police gave no first aid, allowing him to die, and instead tried to find a real gun to plant on him. They made up an entirely fictional story for what happened.

Pysher was a 22 year old ADULT. We are spending a lot of time talking about he was just a child... He was an ADULT. He was committing a crime when shot.

Was Pysher warned by the police? He was definitely warned by everyone else, but did the police give him one last warning? I would hope so. I would also hope the police were willing to allow destruction of property to protect lives, even the perpetrators life... AND we should not forget that Pysher was the perpetrator in all this.

shit stain @Walt is an asshole

I think this thread needs bumped. The officer has been charged. the person shot was complying, hands up, and completely unarmed

do yourself a favor, go reread what this asshole was assuming and the bullshit facts he was running with - and ask yourself what sort of person carries themselves in such a way

Pysher failed to comply. He did not drop to the ground when told to, nor did he stop advancing on the police officer. It is uncertain why he failed to comply, but it is definite that he did fail to comply.

At least in one part, his hands were somewhat up. Even here he failed. His hands were not above his head, but merely at his shoulders. He failed to drop the bag he was carrying. It appears he was unarmed, but Farrell had no way of knowing that. He could have had almost anything in that bag.

was he trying to break into the house when shot?
