A woman needs a man like a fish needs a bicycle.

Ra-men.

The same goes for guys. If they wants to be the FT at-home parent, good for them. If he wants to go into nursing or elementary school teaching or owner of a hair stylist center, why the hell not?
Going off on a tangent here but piggybacking on your point, my wife has directed a preschool for two decades so I asked her last night if she ever hired a male teacher. She said basically no. (She said they had one male sub, and his wife was a teacher there.)

She said it wasn't an anti-male thing, they just don't really get male applicants. I started thinking about my daughter's elementary school, I believe there is one male teacher and he teaches PE (his wife is an administrator at the school). Every other teacher and administrator is a woman.

When you get up into the middle school and high school you'll get male teachers and administrators, but not elementary. (not sure if my daughter's school is unique in that way)

I hate saying it but I think there's this perception of men being around kids. Whether it's that or something else that keeps men away I don't know.
And speaking of feminism and education, my understanding is a lot of really smart women went into teaching back in the day because many corporate jobs weren't available to them. Heck, my Mom even taught for a year out of college.

So women having more career opportunities is obviously a good thing, from strictly an education perspective I suppose that was a negative.
